Besides Stockhausen's 'Kosmische Klang' I like classical/contemporary classical music from my own country, what could be called the Nordic sound. There's some examples of this can be seen under my 'saved playlists'. I also have a keen interest in spiritual science and the afterlife.

Thank you SO MUCH for this, you have just changed my life. At 68, I have finally found the teachings I've been seeking for, forever! I always knew I'd know it immediately, and I did because I've understood what he was saying, to my core - and it fits beautifully to my inner-knowing. Now I know I'm going to make it home after all. I was losing hope, but I recognise these teachings, in my soul! For however long I've got left, life has suddenly become worth living for me. The information to guide me - and my teacher, have finally arrived, for I'm now ready. Spirit heard my knocking, and opened the door for me, and I finally see my path ahead! I am beyond grateful for this beautiful gift given to me today. Thank you, to everyone that's made that possible. And, my deepest, most humble thanks, to spirit. I'm on the path! Huge love and best wishes to everyone here! ❤❤❤

Beethoven’s op.90 piano sonata apparently underpinned the structure of this piece. Chris Newman(b.1958) used the same sonata for identical means in his piano sonata No.6 with very different outcomes !

Anyone have any idea about the last minute where that’s from? Something about grasshoppers and sorcerers taking over?

I played this when I was a conservatory student at Oberlin, with the Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble! 10 years later, I still remember this piece, and keep coming back to listen to it. Luke Bedford is incredible

Does anyone know for sure who plays the oboe in this recording? I think it might be Alexander Ott but it would be nice to confirm it and to add it to the description box.

I’ve joined the Anthroposophical society last month but haven’t really interacted with the anyone from there . I listen to his works daily , hours on end and id love to be able to conversate with someone else about it (I’m in Chicago n plan on visiting their chapter here in the city , soon )

At 20 years of age, this is one of the only songs that I'm seriously really not sure of how the artist went about making. I know that Kid606 was crazy about software DSP effects of the time, and the stretching in this song sounds very similar to Audacity's built-in low-quality tempo stretcher. So maybe this is one sample, stretched out and pitched up and down and juggled through using that effect and maybe some others in Audacity (maybe he recorded the sound of scrubbing through a sample with the playback head?), but I beyond that have no idea how it was really put together. It's really captivating to me

Does anybody know about the orchestral version's substitutions? Are they even written in the score? The solo bass part played by the euphonium or trombone doesn't count, btw.

Steiner was productive, profound & perceptive. Spent some time researching the history of anthroposophy as a teen. Then had twins born on his birthday 🎂 whereby more reading ensued.

Did Noah really fill a wooden boat with the whole planets living species? Did a force in deep space above all Earthly life grant Mohammed permission to marry and have sex with a child? Was the Universe made in 7 days? This Music for me is these questions and the catastrophic error of genetics creating religious people alongside the scientists, artists and inventors who strive for greater wisdoms than the limits of this planet we inhabit! Thank you Tom Ades - I feel the warmth of your genius in my tortured mind in this dreary 2024!

Finally an opportunity to comment. My idea of the afterlife is adulthood. See how we don't have to pay for our offenses as if we are children not responsible for our actions yet.
