Thanks for above. Is it okay to do above exercises if have stenosis and lower disc degeneration. Had partial knee replacement but above conditions hampered building my quad strength and hamstrings. Thanks
I was told I have a 1milimeter kidney stone on my left side , yet I have right side pain that's excruciating at times and comes in waves . It travels to my side and part of my groin . The e.r told me they couldn't see a kidney stone on the right side but that's were I'm experiencing all my pain ? 🤔 I initially thought I strained my back heavy lifting at the gym but this feels different and I'm on my 5th day and very minimal improvement
Thanks for the video. A suggestion i have is to take off the wording you have running at the bottom of the screen. Not only is it annoying but it hides a lot of the exercises your trying to show. I think most people can understand by just listening what your saying. If anyone needs closed captioning RU-vid has a button to press that with put it on the screen to follow along.
Regie, I had the privilege of being taught this technique over 30 years ago by one of the first physiatrists in Pittsburgh, Betsy Blazek. I can vouch, through experience what you show is exactly right and the practicing this technique will benefit anyone with back issues, chronic or acute.
Thank you Sir, i broke the radius elbow bone since 4 weeks ago, no need surgery, only wear sling. I can straight my arm 90% now, i keep to do some exercises and turn my hands. May I know when I can start the exercises that you show on this video. It seems to be much stronger than what I do now. Thank you so much
Well I had 24 pneumonias all my teeth are rotten my wife left me my daughter feels abandoned I live suffocated since 2021 and probably today is my last day, how dose this make me feel :(((((((((((
Great video did you know that if you lie down on yr bell and you feel pain whether to the right or left side of where your kidneys are you are affected by kidney stones?
I'm happy to hear that you are off the cast @Vsfatal. In your situation, I recommend stretching your elbow to flexion, extension, pronation and supination. I have videos of those in my channel. I wish you the best.🙏
Hello sir i broke my elbow 2 months ago and i got a cast then after 3 weeks i took it off now its been 2 months and i cakt still strecht my arm please help
I'm sorry to hear this @Nisamja810! I suggest doing this stretch multiple times a day. You can also use heat on the biceps before the stretch to help it loosen up. I wish you the best. 🙏
I have broke my elbow due to an accident and every time I stretch my arm out for the exercise to get motion back in my elbow post surgery, it seems like it just tightens right back up after stretching it seems like stretching it not helping
I'm sorry to that you are going through this @breannalittman4888. Aside from doing this stretching many times a day, I also suggest using heat on the biceps before the stretch to help it loosen up. Massaging the biceps can also help. I wish you the best. 🙏
If you are still limping and will be returning to work after your knee replacement, check out this video here➡ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EE7h63bwkDM.html
Wow I just left having an ultrasound on my very purple leg after Knee replacement surgery. I had blood clots before, and all this purple scared me, and my family. Thank God no Clots. I will ice my lower leg tomorrow.🙏🏾
Thanks for making that clear- I’m five weeks out on my second knee replacement and the first thing PT does when I go there is put heat on my knee. I suggested to them to just let me heat up my quads because everything you said is what I was thinking, but wasn’t sure. It makes sense to heat up the quads, but not the knee.
great video, thank you. do you have any videos or recommendations for dislocating shoulder and have a labrum tear, no surgery needed, i have full ROM but horrible external rotation, so I can't squat because can't hold the bar since arm needs to externally rotate to hold the bar. it's been a month and ortho said no follow up and didn't even write me a script for PT. making good progress but need a lot of work on external rotation and a bit unsure what exercises to do for recovery, thank you!
I'm sorry to hear this @Dodger-87. If your doctor said your shoulder is fully healed and has no precautions, I suggest doing external rotation stretches on your shoulder to regain external rotation. If you were on a sling or your shoulder was immobilized for a period of time to help the shoulder heal, it will be in an internal rotation position. This will make you lose external rotation. Without doing that movement it will be difficult to get it back. Check out my channel for some videos I created shoulder shoulder external rotation movements such as using a wand or using the wall/door frame. Do it multiple times a day and see if those help. I wish you the best. 🙏
Good question @Wendy-qq8cq. It varies from person to person. If it's a lot, it can take weeks. To make it go away faster, apply ice and elevate the leg. It will still take time. I wish you the best. 🙏
Good question @user-zp7uv4vm4n. It most possible can be the reason. If the quads are not activating, I like to have my patients start with basic quad sets. If you are going to a physical therapist, using electrical stimulation can help you activate the muscle in the initial stages. I hope this helps.🙏
Hi! Thanks so much.So useful. I'm wondering if I should build high counter for the sink area to raise the sink higher instead? Would it also be better? (I'm in the process of renovating and was wondering ...) Thanks.
Hello, I am 15 and had noninjuries to my elbows but I cant extend them fully Im wondering if that is normal and if i need to do something else maybe thank you in advance
Good question @disguisedmonkey_6758. Some people cannot extend the elbows fully same as some can hyperextend it. If you did not sustain any injuries to it, and it does not affect your daily activities, I recommend just monitoring it. Usually in your age group, most people will have full extension. If you want to try to get more extension, you can try doing the stretch in this video 2-3x a day and see if it helps.
Sir my elbow was dislocated and now plaster has removed i am not able to extend my whole hands properly was little bit , How much time did it took to regain normality again ??
Good question @OfficialNazeer. The time frame depends on a few factors such as how much you do the exercises and how quick your body progress. It can range from a couple of weeks to a couple of months. I have seen patients who did not do their exercises and never regained full range. My tip is do the stretching as much as your doctor or physical therapist prescribed. I wish you the best.🙏
Hello Good morning sir Sir I have a kidney problem but actually I don't know whether it is kidney stone or something, I went to the hospital they send me to do CT scan but I went their but the price is too high. Now apart from back pain it started going down to my leg now it paining me in femur, Please sir can I have some medicine from you so that I can buy it. Thank you sir
I'm sorry to hear this @abubakarshettima8862. As a physical therapist, I'm not allowed to prescribed medications. I suggest consulting your doctor regarding this. I wish you the best.🙏
I had radial head implant put it in about 8 years ago and never got back close to full extension. I have tried exercises like this before but never get past 20 degrees. Is there anything more extreme I can try to get it straighter after all these years? I am waiting for revision surgery to see if that may help but I'd rather avoid if possible.
I'm really sorry to hear this @leroybrown8713. I am careful in stretching the elbow aggressively because there is a possibility of nerve damage. Couple of stretches I suggest that is more "aggressive" is using weight on the wrist while extending the elbow in extension (similar principle to prone hangs on the knee) and hanging on a pull up bar. You have to be careful with how much weight/pressure you exert on the elbow. Using heat and doing soft tissue work on the biceps and doing the stretches a lot of times throughout the day may help. With your case, because of the time, we don't know if these will or how much. Last resort is the surgery like you said. I wish you the best.🙏
Good question @lorraine8723. The time frame depends on how your skin heals. When the scar is fully closed and the scabs come off, you an use the cream. I hope this helps.
I think that my hand was broken in the childhood while i were 1/2 years old. Maybe my parents didn't notice that time so now my hand is little bit bend. I have did many X-ray, many exercise as well. I had tried many hospitals in nepal and as per them that exercise is the only one option for treatment of this Problem.
I hope this helps @manojshrestha757. The length of time makes it difficult to expect increase in range. You can try using a weight on the wrist to give your elbow more stretch or to hang on to something to stretch the elbow. You have to be very careful in how much weight/force you exert on the elbow to avoid injuring your elbow or the nerves. I wish you the best. 🙏
I had an intense meniscus tear surgery. It's been 4 months and my Quad is still lacking in strength. Going to try these exercises all through the day! thanks!
I'm sorry to hear this @livelovelaugh7431. You can also try the straight leg raise and the terminal knee extension to strengthen the quads. I have videos of them in my channel. I wish you the best. 🙏
