use to live in Mpls St Paul 85 thru 88 and saw them quite a few times at the caboose and union bar even have lots of tapes from those shows the question is are those tapes still ok.! I will have to check them out sometime.Those guys were fantastic they put out quite a show I still remember like if I had seen them yesterday, some of the best memories I have in music. thanks for all of the music Radiators you rock !!!

There was this guy usually recording the shows, so I was young and fearless and walk to the guy and said hey man I would love to have those tapes too, he looked at me and gave me his phone number I call him up went to his house and he gave me 14 red Maxwell tapes, shows from the caboose and union bar and said just return them when you done, I couldn't believe my ears, I mean I didn't know him from anywhere and he just trusted me . I miss those days the people were pretty cool, Mpls had a pretty cool music scene back then !! Cheers from Portugal.

Went to see him in Paris a few years ago. Had an amazing sax player with him and a phenomenal double bass guy. Half way through, Birelli picks up a fretless bass and plays a bunch of Jaco style shit on it. Is there anything the guy can't do?! 😊

46+ years of hip-hugging bayou blues and rock. This band has paid their dues for 10 lifetimes. From 4 hour 3 sets of the primo in 110 degree Louisianna heat to Red Rocks and the best theatres and back again. Never seen anything remotely in the realm of a bad show. What an X-tra musician !!!I love Bireli!!! He had to play the same year in july in La Seyne sur Mer (France); and I played this evening with my band on a little scène near the big one, just one hour before this same band. Chick Corea Acoustic Trio played just after Bireli'Band. It's was a magical night, and we talk with Bireli a long moment at the end of the night.
How did he get an American accent???? I met him in Strasbourg and spoke to him in French and didn’t know that he spoke English. He is an absolute genius of course.

@@Fretlessness The title is wrong and this performance was actually 1991, so Jaco was already long since gone. Bireli is also using a 1990 Ovation Collectors edition so definitely not 1987.
Bottom line was my favorite hangout for performances. Unfortunately it's not existing anymore. Never liked sound of Ovation guitar, but definitely not in the case of this video...
