Thanks for the tip on the sunroof. My 1986.5S’ sunroof was working fine until yesterday so I will definitely be happy if all I have to do is tap a little and WD40 the seals. I was worried it would be a much bigger problem. Great channel by the way!
🇬🇧 This was when American cars were works of art. The American designers inspired and influenced Europe and the rest of the world..they were F--- You gorgeous! All that chrome, fins and jet age motifs and outrageous technology showed confidence and energy.
My dad had a buddy that had two of these all restored. Being a kid of 10 or 11 didn’t know the story until later when the friend and his wife were extras in the movie. They the cars, were too far ahead of their time, no one understood how good the car was!
The steering box was located behind the front axle to protect the driver in a frontal collision, and it had a full perimeter frame and a roll cage in the roof.

Very good video showing how to replace it. Will have to do that on mine too. And it’s a low mileage car. Definitely cracks with age and being in not a temp controlled environment for a time. All it took. What price was the little cog that was broken and why not replace the other 2 beside it also ? Maybe they are not available?
I don't know man if it was me I would have sold the other three cars and kept the risky business 928 that car is iconic. Even if I own the car it was to sell it it would be no goddamn way in God's green earth would I let it go for 10 grand

I don't spend several hours of my day six days a week scouring Craigslist nationally for interesting rides under $15K for clowns like you to insinuate people are stupid for buying them and saying that's "Still Too Expensive." Apparently, you've been living under a rock, as the average price of a brand-new car in 2024, like it or not, is $48,401 (Source: Kelly Blue Book). With new cars averaging nearly fifty large, anything decent under $15K is a bargain these days. You can critique the various vehicles I post all you want. However, I refuse to have trolls like you call me or my other channel subscribers "stupid." Do we have an understanding?
In those situations, you can hook up a portable battery box like you are going to jump start the car. That should provide enough power to operate the seat.
