What type of tires do you have? If you have the 245s then you need to swap them to Atleast 275s asap! Those tires aren’t even good in dry conditions on anything but the v6s
if i was you id get a better tire setup 275's in the rear and 255 in the front would help get the power to the ground alot better than your stock 245's
@@392anthvlogs9 i find back streets mainly bc there isn’t strips/tracks near me. when i launch my camaro it slips all the way through 60mph on stock 245s
@@392anthvlogs9 Active Fuel Management is what GM calls there cylinder deactivation system. The lifters have a coil spring attached to them and they fail. I don't know the technical specifics of the design but it's the weak link to GMs v8s. Also Dodge has this system and they call MDS, Multi Displacement System. Currently GM has a new designation for their cylinder deactivation system and it operates differently but still has the weak lifters that WILL FAIL. NOT IF... BUT WHEN. FORD also adopted this on their F150 5.0s but the system is completely different. Not sure if the Ford system is more reliable or not. Currently the 5.0 Mustangs do not have this faulty weak technology.
Also a lot of people start to experience miss fires and rough running engine around 14 -20k miles. Warranty will fix it but it will continue to happen until you delete the AFM system. Also this system causes other problems like oil consumption, squeaking noises or hard engagement of the system when it activates. This is when the system begins to fail. Sometimes it's just suddenly.
@@JBWHITEGT lol yeah my nephew had a 5.0 in a 16 f150 used 3 quarts of oil between oil changes had just 44000k miles and had lifter noise 5.0 are junk many have lifter noise and use oil it was his first ford truck and he traded it in on a 18 Silverado said he'd never buy ford again
@@donaldkinder6716 Nothing is perfect. The GM engines with the AFM has made the engines fail more so than the 5.0 engines. Not talking shit its just facts. There are a handful 5.0 with some issues but just about every other GM has lifter failures. Next time you talk to a GM service technician ask them how often they have to replace lifters. Only way around it is to delete the AFM and put a cam in it and they will be solid for 300k miles. Side note I've seen 5.0s already with 275k+ miles and still purring perfectly.
