It has saved me countless times. It started going off before a turn in the forest areas i drive. Then boom, a cop with radars on the SUV. Multiple times miles away it picked up cops. And over hills too. So far it has saved me 8 times. I drive 3 hours a day round trip. It has even just detected cop cars. I've got my money back plus some! Awesome product!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I appreciate that brother! And the Rebel is a great truck but I have been wanting the Scat Pack for a long time. Expect a lot of races and mods added onto this car. Thanks for the comment!
I Have an older version of the 350 and I Loved the thing it worked great then i got 3 tickets while it was on purchased a new one maybe my old one broke ... Ya 3 speeding tickets and they wernt even over 10 mph
Yes move to 5:13 to get any meaningful content. I'm looking at the RAD 500 G refurbished on cobra's website for $79 with one year warranty and wanted some useful information
Hey can you explain how it should be properly mounted? In the video at 5:10 it's on the dash. Should it be up closer to the glass? Just want to know what you mean by point straight out. Thanks!
MH Tally where you have it is fine. But if you stick it slightly higher up (1 or 2 inches) and mount it to the windshield it might get slightly better range. It should of came with suction cups for glass.
@@RustySh4ckleford usually right under the rear view mirror or to the side of it with it level. For $150 though you couldve gotten a uniden r1 that would spank that cobra in range. THough even a cobra is better than nothing at all like most people.
You're Chaldean ha bro. Lol. Had that radar for a couple days but decided to return it. Didn't need it at the time, gonna buy it back now since the new cars faster 😂
Just bought this. I currently have an older cobra and I’d have to say my biggest gripe w it is ALL THE DAMN FALSE ALERTS!!! OBNOXIOUS, to the point where I’ve actually turned the volume way down which kinda defeats the purpose
Highways in the US seems to be utterly filled with police, like holy shit lol, they really love stopping people for speeding a little bit or smallest of reasons. I see like 1 police every few days on the highway where i live, although people drive significantly better here. But damn, this thing would be good when i go on trips around europe! Thank you for this video!!
Carlos Manzanares waze is shows where cops are and construction zones etc. Other people who use the app use a little pinpoint thing to show where they seen a cop last.
How does it detect? And what's the range and like what about lasers and won't cops also get beeps and beeps notifying them that someone has a radar detector, and are there any that also let you listen to what they are saying?
It detects from a frequency called K or KA and radars won’t notify the cops that there is a radar. The only thing that Detects is if you have a radar jammer. Radius is 1 mile
on expensive models, we are paying for unnecessary features. if the radar detects with distance and block false is the best radar. ive escort max 2 and too much false alarms
"For it's price" it's a great detector. Yeah, it's in another league (much worse) than it's competitors, but: + GREAT IVT filter, better or at least on par with ESCORTs (very few falses) +VERY COMPACT + Great Laser detection + very quiet if properly configured even in cities. + All bands can be disabled +KU band for Europe (UK, Germany and Greece). Escort's international versions don't have Ku and that is a big No, No for every EU driver! - low range (but enough) -no GPS - low range rear detection - intellimute is not going to work, especially on newer hybrids or electric cars. I've compared the horn size of an old XRS 9440 (my old RD) with RAD 450, and this one is 4x the size. Yeah, it's worth it, especially if you're low on budget. I've had the chance to buy an Escort Passport at 350 Euro, but when I've seen it in real life I said hell no! It's so big and bulky that I just can't find a place for it on my dashboard. If you don't need 1+ miles detection this Cobra is enough.
It depends though. I have the RAD 350 and on a straight road I've had about 2.5 miles max warning distance. Couple of times too, not just a one off fluke.
yeah u dont know what you are doing it wud be better if you had spent the exact same money and got uniden dfr9 with GPS but by now u prob know why this was a bad decision...its like those guys who buy a ninja 300 motorcycle because its "all they need" to find out in 2 to 3 months that they were wrong and shud have just bought the 600 for the extra 1300...
Detects different types of frequencies like k band, ka band, and x band. The frequencies are sent from the cop's radar and then bounce off your car and tell the cop how fast you are going. Most detectors are right around $400 to $500. This one is $150 from best buy, and from the time I had it, I thought it worked pretty well. It picked up a cop from about a 1/2 mile distance in city traffic. Would buy again. Hope this helped.
That was really rude of you, does that even offended you that i commented? Im not here for an insult, im not here to fight and of course i am driving a civic just for my temperailly use, is there a problem with that?
