Thanks Helene. I have made a couple of these Lion South Bay Shawls years ago and did want them to have a wider wingspan. I started another one following along with you and it is such an easy way to widen it instead of making it longer. I didn't want to search all my piles of patterns and so I searched online for the Lion pattern, and I found it free on Ravelry. This is such a beautiful shawl, and I am going to make a couple of them. I found your older tutorial and saved it and will go back and check out which kind of borders that I want to add. 😊❤

I’m so happy you enjoy this pattern too, and like my “happy accident“ of widening the wingspan! A year or so ago, I started to make one, thinking I remembered the pattern. Only to realize halfway through, I had increased the ends; but instead of taking it apart, I went with it. Soon to discover it worked out great! Love when that happens, and especially when it’s such a simple change! I agree, such a beautiful pattern, and I hope you’ll have fun with my border options. 💕💕💕

Beautiful yarn, I see that it's been discontinued, the nice yarns always are. It's nice that it's possible to make the shawl wider for more coverage/warmth on the arms. I hope you're doing well Helene, thank you for the tutorial!
Hobbi had a really nice selection of yarn, similar to this Rainbow Wrapsody. In sparkle and solids! I haven't bought any. Still plenty of stash left. Maybe one day! Hope all's well with you. Weather turned warm here. Was 82 today! ☺️
