At 2:45 is about the closest I've ever seen Denny smile at the young gun's high notes near the end of his solo.

Denny was always the modest quiet one in the background. Still has his chops. But now about the drum kit work in this lineup? Wow!

Honestly, Dias is all over the first 2 records, which are stunning. He made the band take off and become famous.

Just watched The Dan do Reelin on The Midnight Special. DD and the Skunk dueled out the middle solo as a dou and killed it. Speaking of 'under-rated' :Amazing is 81 year old John McLaughlin doing Stratus during The Jeff Beck tribute concert.

Years ago I talked to a guy who worked around the Dan. He told me the difference between Denny & Skunk was that Denny played like he was wearing a piano, & Skunk played like he was whipping the dog.

huge Dan fan but sorry, this is a forgettable cover. babs streisand and buckwheat on vocals, dias mails it in on the solo and a similarly underwhelming solo by the other guitarist at the end...ugh. the keyboardist being the best part of the song is telling.

I LOVE EVERY ONE IN STEELY DAN.. my much older brother in the late 60's turned me on to LZ and the Steely Dan! rip bro

Mr Dias is like a 1970's supercar, he's lost a lot of horses but he still sounds good.
