I always find it fun when I hear people talk about Orange County. I've lived here for most of my life. I still love it here, but it has changed so much. The rest of the interview was fun too

I have to remind myself that he was maybe 35, and probably catered to a younger audience. Some of the ideas behind the songs are pretty immature for a 35-year-old. But I loved listening to him sing. I think by 1984 he had lost his romantic and sincere quality that I loved so much when he was younger and by 35 a cynicism had gotten to him and everything changed. He would go on to the Raised on Radio tour but his joy seemed to be missing. And then it was over

So, the lady at 7:33 had a chance to sing for Steve Perry and totally blew it by not singing something significant! She could have told him "I sure would like to work with you Steve." and he probably would have reached out to her because he's the one that initiated saying that she has a beautiful voice AND asked her to sing something! He probably was looking for a female artist to work with and she could have been it! 😮 If that was me and I could sing, I would have sang my best song for at least 30 seconds and left my information with the studio for Steve to call me!
They very well could have fit the interview in on one episode but with full songs playing in between chatting there was more songs playing that we can listen to on our own then there was chatting with Steve. So I don't know that we could have really learned anything new here but I guess how much new stuff can you learn when he's been gone for so long
I love Steve perry too he made journey what it was its never been the the same. What a way to honor your mom by sharing someone truly amazing in memory of someone who was truly amazing to you. Your mother raised a loving and amazing person ❤️
Every time I get the opportunity to listen to Steve Perry speak during an Interview, I truly enjoy it. Listening to his Soft Toned Voice is a great pleasure. Especially, when he speaks about how a certain Song came to be, we get to peer into Steve Perry's thinking. To learn about the Background of a Song or his own personal experiences helps us see what's important to him or how he views certain subjects. Through these Interviews, it's as if we're able to draw closer to him, not so much as a Famous Singer, but rather as a 'Down to Earth' Human Being. He's is definitely a "Thoughtful Person," with sincere concerns about situations going on around us. He is definitely "Humble," "Kind-Hearted," "Considerate," "Generous," and "Good in Heart." 😉🎙🎶💖 I know he loves to Smile when something is Funny, and he Loves to Sing, since it brings him True Joy. He absolutely loves to share his Love of Song and Music, with the World. 🌎 I pray with all my heart, that he NEVER forgets how much he's touched 'Thousands upon Thousands' of people with his life, and his Voice. Ah yes those were the days when journey was hot ,steve perry was sizzling and neal was at his best,maybe the best group ever put together. I'm glad I got too see them way back then
