With LearnNX you will learn Siemens NX step-by-step from the beginning. The basic course consists of learning videos that build on each other. (marked blue) After reaching important milestones, you can check your knowledge with "Test yourself". (marked green) Expert exercises impart special knowledge. (marked red) All learning videos are freely available. We look forward to your comments on RU-vid. (and about your subscription ;-)
Accompanying the exercises, downloads are available at www.learnNX.com/downloads.
Hello sir I really appreciate the tutorial ❤🙏. I have a question though, where would I save the thumbnail bmp if im working on the teamcenter plm system? Any clue how that would work and would be visible to other colleagues?
My head hurts, but this is exactly what I have been looking for. You, Sir, are awesome! I'll go through this slowly, 9 or 10 times, and I'm sure I'll get it. 🙂 Thank you so much. Keep up the great work!
Hi DB, thanks for the praise. Have a look at PF1 to PF3 first to understand everything in small steps. If you still have questions, write a comment and I will help you. There's more to come after this video, so it's still exciting!
In case, I have file assembly include many parts, all them be Steel. How can I check total weigth of them? I only check each of part. It different with NX12. Pls guide me. Thank you
Select your top assembly in the Assembly Navigator (AN) and click Select Assembly on the shortcut menu. Click in the area highlighted in blue and click Properties on the shortcut menu. Select the Mass tab and check the setting for "Update mass properties on save". Select Yes. Save your top assembly. In AN, click Columns on the shortcut menu and select Mass (kg). (and now I have an idea for a new video)
Why does the top (toolbar?) look nothing like mine? I have regular paid-for NX. I have no options that has reference sets like yours. Why does every tutorial on this software never look like what i have and why are the options you guys talk about never actually where you say or even available. This is extremely frustrating.
Thank you for all the informative videos for us NX newbies. I noticed there was no explanation of "Allow Multiple Values" for the attribute settings. Could you point to a source that would give an example use case?
Much better. Your videos are much informative to learn from scratch. Can you upload some playlist for sheetmetal and weldmetals as well. Much appreciated.
Dear Sir, Your tutorials are very good, and they are free also. I want to know whether your have made parallel tutorials on Revit MEP? Do you know such parallel website as yours for Revit MEP? if yes, then please send the link. Thank you.
Thank you for all the hard work you do producing these tutorials. Has really helped me. One question, how do you manage to have all your sketches hidden without manually hiding them. All my sketches show unless I hide them myself. Thanks
You start with the Sketch command and then Extrude or Revolve. I start with the Extrude or Revolve command first and start the sketch with "Sketch Section" at the top of the command. This creates an internal sketch. If you right-click on the extrude in the part navigator, you can later make the sketch external. If you have an external sketch, right-click on the Extrude or Revolve command in the Part Navigator and make your sketch internal, but only if you have not created a second extrude with the same sketch.
@@willfebery5897 Yes, but first I would like to finalise the topic of "modular design". With this knowledge, you can reduce the number of decisions and therefore the number of work steps. learnnx.com/modular-design/
Hi Smoe, I've been thinking about this new video all last weekend, now it's Monday morning and it's uploaded. Thanks for the tip. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jBXHZjRAHPI.html
For reusable parts that are not part families you can use only expressions for the parameters of the krx files. I use such reusable parts for a library of raw materials and I am searching a way to change the material of the part. For example a library of square tube parts that you want to clone beacuse you have a unique length. If you have any idea of how can I achieve this it would be great.
Is it possible to create a parametric assembly family? For example, an assembly S with parts A and B. B has a wave link to A and both parts have interpart expressions to S. I want to create a family of S. Is it possible?
Hello Thiago, in a few weeks it will appear on my website learnnx.com/modular-design/ I will show how you can create dynamic assemblies and automatically select parts of a part family using interpart expressions.
Yes, it's possible with a little bridge. You select an object or feature, select properties, create a title and a Value. Then you select the part in the Assembly Navigator, click on properties, create a Title and select the option Expression Formular. Open the pull-down-menu and select Reference, Object Attribute... Then select your Feature or Object. They are now connected.
At Step 3 you show the creation of folding marks for an A3 size sheet. How can we make this sketch in such a way that is creates the fold marks for all sheet sizes from A3 to A0 in the correct positions?
I don't think it's necessary. I have always folded all sizes with these folding marks. I start at the title block and zigzag fold every 190 mm. Then the second last fold follows to the left-hand edge of the sheet with a distance of 210 mm and the last fold in between.
