I like the look of this mount but I'm not finding it for sale anyplace, can you tell me if maybe there has been a recall or something and where did you purchase it from? Thanks, John
500 dollar for the equipment and they don’t even send a technician to install this for you. No thanks !! I would only use starlink for tv roaming or a rural connection with no other options.
It really is only ideal for rural situations. I love mine and I also love the fact that I could install it myself. To each, it's own. It's a great system, it's expensive, but totally worth it. At least in my situation.
What is the difference between the two pole mounts? It appears just a fraction of depth. Not sufficient enoung if you as me. Is this what everyone else is seeing?
Thanks, I was hesitant when ordering the pipe mount, glad I did not order it. Yes, that does look shallow and also having one side to pinch the CMT or similar pipe would probably not be sufficient to withstand a strong gust.
Good vid mate, thanks. Was that the Starlink pipe adaptor? Agree that I also dont like that shallow socket. Anybody in NZ there is a crowd in Chch or somewhere down there, name like Digital store $100 shipped to rural Northland. Havent got it in my hands yet but looks more substantial.
Thanks for the detailed video on the mount. This is the first i’ve seen out for the new standard mobility mount. My intentions are to mount it to a 12”by12” steal plate with magnet feet for truck roof temporary mounting. I like that the mount has set screws unlike some alternate 3D printed options, and priced right.
Check out this converter on Amazon from Xtar Store, Starlink 12V to 48V DC Step UP Converter, DC Converter Regulator 3A 144W Power Supply Adapter for Starlink Satellite Dish V2 (12V to 48V 3A 144W) - as an alternative to the MW @StarLinkTec
no power supply in the antenna, it's the gyro sensor that tell it when you adjust the antenna during alignment. Listen to it, it changes in pluses. Thanks
@@StarLinkTec The gyroscope is solid state and yes it is power supply. He has a 48 volt Poe down converter and that is what you were hearing the wine of the coils as the antenna draws power while transmitting. Solid state gyroscopes don't make noise. That's why you can't hear your phone making noise. It's the exact same technology
I hate to sound stupid but can someone please give link to where I can purchase a pivot mount for my UTA-232 Starlink dish ? Even a part number would help .
The starlink mounts are in the shop section, make sure you select the correct antenna to find the right unit. There are a lot of after market mounts on Esty and Ebay as well
It's good at normal speeds 65 70 we do move it around a bit . keep the front wind end down is best. It makes about a 20-40 mbps down load speed improvement by being able to adjust it to it's best alignment when on site.
I did this video in 1997 ,I have added text comments to help explain some of the content . We will be putting out a new video and manual. This summer, thanks for watching
Nice videos subscribed : will forward to others. Nobody I’ve spoken too knows anything about this starlink. From California to New York not one person. They all are interested though. They all say “take my number and let me know how it works”. I’m a service engineer and travel RV a lot
Thanks for the comments, we use Starlink in the field and on the move all the time and it has been a real life and time saver. Have seen an up tick in subscribers so maybe a thanks is do you? Be save on the road and press on. Bruce
NO it can not and that is a loss but cost is the SL concern , they should have offered it as an option even if higher priced, for the people and commercial users were its needed if mounted high and hard to reach??
@@user-yy7mw7ey2n The older design antenna had an internal pan and tilt mechanism so it would adjust itself to align to the satellites instead of you doing it manually.
Again, thanks for the video you gave me a little hope due to the trip trees in the area. I just ordered mine. Mine will be here by the end of of the week.
i have a question if someone can please answer it if i bought a starlink divce from the U.S but i haven't used it or subscribe to it can i take it and use it in Germany ? and dose it come with a subscription plan ? and if it come with a subscription plan can i take it and use it in Germany without any problems???
Sorry for late reply you have to register in the country it is to be used with a address in that country, most likely you will have to get a new plan , you will have to transfer it and then use the kit number to take it over when release. lets us know how you make out
I just received my new Starlink. Also purchased the Ridge Line Mount. Didn't know I needed the Pipe Adapter kit... also, what do I use for a mast to connect my ridge line mount to the pipe adapter kit? Thanks
Not sure? did you get the wall mount from SL, if so you do not need the pipe mount you have it all. UNLESS you got an aftermarket J pole type, then yes you need a pipe mount good luck Bruce
I was able to touch base with Starlink support. The new Gen 4 dish is not compatible with the Ridgeline Roof Mount kit. It does say that on the accy page but I didn't catch it. They were very helpful and refunded my purchase cost for the accy. @@StarLinkTec
We have 3 units with this 2 for deployments, one other has been on 4 weeks no issues, the other two are used in field been set up 5 or 6 times work great.
Not stupid at all. yes I believe so, go to 192.168.100.1 to log into it, BUT it is limited and I have not tried it on GEN 3 antenna , if you have a friend that can load APP on there's try that, If you need to change your password after, BUT I think they will be able to see the alignment without the password?
Dude it’s ok it’s normal. Put your ear up to the router and power supply, you’ll hear buzzing too. Put your ear up to any power supply or electrical device and you’ll hear buzzing.
no power supply in the antenna, it's the gyro sensor that tell it when you adjust the antenna during alignment. Listen to it, it changes in pluses. Thanks
@@StarLinkTec There is a power supply in the dish. It's not Just an antenna. It has a whole computer in there and a 48 volt Poe Transformer. The supply circuitry is making a noise
FYI and anyone else going with a Mean Well DDR-120 series. The 120A needs an input range between 9 - 18 Vdc. The 120B input voltage range is 16.8 - 33.6 Vdc.
Have you a pole mount for an class c rv? Fender mount. Hitch already has a bike mount. For the Gen C dish . There was a problem with the plastic mount Thanks
