We look to see if a CAT 7 or 8 cable can be used on the new Starlink Standard Gen 3 or is 4 system, in place of the factory cabled. We always recommend factory cables but some time YOU have to look at other options. We have also used CAT 8 flat cables for auto use as it works well when run thru a door. Heater works fine as well.

Run speed test between Gen 2 and Gen 3

We have done multiple speed test. Now keep in mind that the Gen. 3 that we have is in a Rome configuration. So priority speeds are not being obtained. But it does look like the Gen. 3 gets a better signal. And as a result, somewhat better speeds, but they are comparable to the standard system.

You know where we can purchase 150’ of the factory cable for the V3?

Sorry I missed this, Starlink has them or a CAT 7 or 8 outdoor cable can work BUT you have to trim the molded plastic away to get it to fit. So factory is best bet.

Fit but it doesn't have the seal the factory cable does

That is a fact , the factory cable is the best choice but if you have to use a CAT cable for long term use put small amount of sealer around it that can be removed. Thanks for watching and please subscribe and watch for new videos coming soon
