Yes i'm 7 years too late to comment, but I've searched for Sniper tips on concealment but only yours gasve me all the information i needed... totally made my day thank you so much.
Id recommended downloading the dynamic camoflauge system mod, it allows for the AI to recognise things put out of order , e.g. a tan ghillie in a green environment will land you with a bullet in the head . While wearing a jungle ghillie will make it more difficult for the AI to spot you and shooting a suppressed shot will leave the AI in aware, but unable to spot you
Good to see an in-depth tutorial!! I’m trying to start up a RU-vid channel and new to PC/streaming these videos help a ton! Plan to make more up to date videos on all this stuff as well!
Great video however, I am still a bit confused when it comes to all of the wind settings? Which wind readings do I have to input into the atragmx to ensure an accurate shot?
I've watched like 10 guides from 2015-2020 and all of them are off target or just barely hit on the first shot. What I have learned is that the tools will get you "Close enough" and you need to adjust to the miss.
Can someone explain how the hell ive watched every single damn tutorial on how to use this and have followed everything to a T and I still cannot hit shots. I need help before I break my keyboard...
I need to start uploading again because now I’m applying this knowledge in real life and it’s awesome. Also with the crazy stuff in the world who knows, might have to apply this in a battlefield setting
Just getting back into Arma and a little confused by some of the tutorials. Might just be confusion over terminology. Ame I right or wrong in my understanding that you might need to confirm zero and true the ballistic calculators?
couldn't find but check this out forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/205648-precision-accuracy-analysis-of-arma-3-rifles-with-ace3-mod-dagger-mod-massi-mod-robert-hammer-rhs-mod-r3f-etc/
The Brits really do love their long range kills. First this sniper kill at 2475 meters then you've got the longest tank kill with a challenger tank 4700 meters and let's not forget about the HMS Warspite hitting a moving ship at 24km.
Snipers don't operate in a spotter pair anymore outside of training. You need max dudes on guns. Listen to any of the current podcasts from jocko/fieldcraft survival/todd hodnett
Sniping in Arma is difficult enough without the Ace mod I really love how much the community has modded Arma it's because by far the premier tactical simulation. It's in a class all by itself I wish they'd start work on Arma 4 and get it on a better more optimized engine because even after all the time that's passed Arma is capable of visuals that still stand up in 2019. The game still literally needs only a few minor changes to make it perfect and I hope Bohemia will look into this in 2020
I have only 4 options to choose when I choose ace 3, no advanced ballistics among them. got any idea why? the ace3 and cba files are in the arma 3 are enabled and placed in the game local file if that helps
I've been watching Rex for a long time. I came across this game when it was suggested on steam. Did some research and I had no idea how in depth this game is. Really excited to try this game out!
If you're a beginner at ArmA and wanna get into this sorta thing ACE 3 ( a mod for arma that can be found on the workshop ) is a requirement. Without it there is no wind or anything else just basic bullet drop that isnt super accurate to real life Hope it helps and welcome to the community
Rex is fake expert. Read up on some forum discourses on him recently. A real former scout/sniper weighed in on one of his "sniper courses", doing dangerous shit with students that provide zero actual training value.
this tutorial is not entirely accurate. First of all, if you really want to set up your sniper career, you should learn to do all the calculations without an AtragMX using only kestrel, the calculator and your mind :). Secondly, answering your question, maybe you are not taking the HEADwind into account?
Hello, Im just messing around, trying to make an "Altis life ingame documentary". Would you mind me using this video for some cinematic snippets every now and then?
