BOLDEN is a channel dedicated to your Self Betterment. Here I share my experiences on topics such as Hair Loss, Social Anxiety and Growing as a Man through Life's many obstacles, hoping it'll relate to others and give them Value on their own paths.
Baldness very young 22 and under/college aged) can definitely suck. But it is not the end of your dating life ffs. The captain of my rugby team in college went bald at 19 and never had a problem with the ladies at our social events, because he was TALENTED, Strong, and confident. I’m convinced baldness is only really worse for online hookup culture. But if you’re getting out there and can actually interact with women, you’ll find they don’t care nearly as much as online surveys would have you believe. To those guys who went bald super young-your time is coming! Keep doing your thing because life gets better and better. -An almost 30 year old bald married man
I'm 64, with a recent cancer diagnosis. About 3 weeks after my first chemotherapy, my hair began falling out in big clumps... I looked like a mangey coyote! So, now I'm rockin' the Telly Savalas look. I have a lot of ink, which I used to conceal because I was a medical professional before retirement. Now I wear sleeveless T's, cargo shorts and Doc Martens, and top it off with RayBan Harbormaster sunglasses. I also lost about 30 lbs due to lack of appetite. I'm 6'4" and 185 lbs today. People who knew me before hardly recognize me today!
Like you said, I don’t judge those who take finasteride to prevent further hair loss, I just wish those who do would be more respectful of those who choose not to take it. There have been some nasty commenters here on RU-vid who try to make you feel bad about not taking it because the side effects are so “rare”. I’ve been told things by these people like “you’ll just be left with the side effect of being bald instead”. Even if there is a 2% chance I could get ED or depression from a pill, that’s 2% too high for me personally.
I started going bald at 16, shaved it off at 24, and only started leaving the house at 27 after getting a job, a great and well-paid job. My anxiety levels were through the roof; I thought people would treat me differently than when I had hair, that I would be excluded or treated as an inferior person. The reality is that they treated me the same way they always did, lol. I'm not going to lie, my confidence was low at first, but I focused on growing a nice beard, gaining lean muscle, and maintaining between 10 and 12 percent body fat, being ultra-careful with hygiene, and always smelling good and dressing well. And guess what? I don't have any trouble getting dates with women. There are always rejections, but that's part of the game. If you focus on being your best version with the cards you've been dealt, you might be surprised at how people react to someone who takes good care of themselves.
I’m happy for you that you accepted your hair loss and found happiness man. Unfortunately I’m not quite there yet. I have a Norwood 2 hairline at the age of 24. It’s been this way since I was 20. My hair loss isn’t bad enough to where I feel I need to shave it off yet, but I have no idea when it will eventually get to that point. Despite my hairline being not so good, the rest of me is attractive: I have a handsome face, deep voice, perfect teeth, I go to the gym and maintain a lean, athletic build, and I’m 6’0.5”. I have no doubt that balding/bald men can still get laid, I’m just not sure if they’re able to get ATTRACTIVE women. Since I’m otherwise an attractive guy, I’m afraid my hair loss is going to prevent attractive women from being interested in me. *Based on what you’ve seen do you think there is any truth to that?*
Old video its the way it is. Would you date a bald woman. No you wouldn’t. That’s the answer. You will get left for someone will full head of hair. That’s why the stats are a bit unfair. Don’t get depressed. Learn to live a better life. Also if you find yourself in a position where a woman comes after you. Deny her that’ll be news
Your shaved head is awesome and makes you look younger in appearance. So, I joined my shaved head brethren in 2021, never looked back so have joined the league of shaved heads leagues.
Noted!! I've had dreadlocks for 16yrs and was forced to cut em because I was thinning bad! (To be honest it hit my esteem bad). Now I've been bald for 3months!(Feb til now April) I'm adjusting and it's definitely different for me because I ain't use to it.
I took test today and the result make me retake it and it is 68350 nanograms and that is all natural the doc think that there is something wrong but nothing isn't
This blade is the best for shaving my face. it bring the balance between being a good blade but not being a blade where it requires t9o much to use such as a 5 blade or a cut throat straight razor. in terms of myself shaving my own head i will use a gillette pro glide or a pro shield.
Before you shower, use some moisturising cream, baby oil on the head. Then get into the shower and use some facial scrub to wash the head. Then try shaving after your shower. You can use hair conditioner as an alternative to shave the head. See if that will help. I shave almost every day without any irritation and after I moisturise and also add sun tan lotion. Try it.🤔
I dont consider myself as bad looking, but I am 5'5 and bald. Have always had the worst love life and dating experiences (even when I had hair) - I think that one of the most hurtful things ever said to me was from my mum. I dress well, Im subtle and not over the top but its like never good enough for her, shes suggested to me that I need hair implants lol. Talk about kicking you in an already crippled self confidence. Gents..just be the best person that you can be, bald, short, thin or head full of hair...it shouldnt matter🫶
This may not be the best place for me to comment, but I feel the mother of my children left me because of hormonal issues. All other reasons she may have stated were just excuses.
