Hello! In your opinion, what should be the hardness of the water for growing ramirese. I measured the water in my aquarium with a TDS hardness of 290 to 330 ppm. Is this indicator good for growing Ramirez? Thank you! Is it possible to grow two types of ramires in one aquarium (Apistogramma Ramirezi „Electric Blue“ end German Blue Ram? Is there a possibility that pairs of different species will form and then their offspring will not be a pure breed?
Brilliant video thank you for making this 😄 can I ask, once the fish have spawned and the eggs are on say one of the black pebbles, do you move them? And where do you move them ? Thank you for any more advice 😊
Great video ! My kids have started taking up the hobby but are yet to find themselves some rainbow fish. Any help/pointers in the rite direction for them to look would be massively appreciated.
I had my electric blue breed with my german blue and after 2 days they hatched and then waited 8 days for them to be free swimming and some of them would jump up and fall back down but they wouldnt actually become free swimming. I put them in a larger container but didnt realize my other fish could suck them out and they all got eaten... do you know why they wait 8 full days and not be free swimming? The water temp was consistently 80deg and nitrates were good. I think this time i might feed first bites on day 3-4 of being wigglers even if not free swimming to make sure they didnt all not become free swimming due to lack of food. Any thoughts or experience with ram fry taking a long time to go from wigglers to free swimming?
I can't believe you taught us all how to boil an egg! Very cute, though. I didn't know about the freezing. I've known about egg yolk for fifty years, but I just pressed it through a handkerchief. I'll try freezing next time I need it. Thank you for sharing.
Great seller and extremely helpful with any information that you need. Have brought Ram's of Justin & with continue to buy more varieties of him because of the quality of his fish. Thanks for your help & guidance in raising fry Justin..
Hi from NZ! Love your vids. I have a group of gba im trying to get breeding, a pair of Bolivians and also a lone golden ram which i soon hope to get more of
Hello from Pakistan. It's great to see that you are doing this business with so much knowledge behind you. It definitely requires a lot of time and devotion. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.
Hello from Washington, USA! I’m currently working on a 4x4x2 bio active enclosure for my ball python and I’m including an aquarium within it. Been thinking about putting some rams into it, so needless to say, I was searching for some information on them and came across your video. I appreciate your videos and information you provide!
Best advice about using pool salt. So much more economical. I am here in the United States and I also do baby brine shrimp. Also I feed them freeze dried bloodworm and daphnia placed in a pepper grinder and this grinds it into a powder for them small enough to eat. Great Channel
I bought a pair of German Blue Rams on two different occasions, a few months apart, and both pairs only lasted a week or so before perishing. Tank was at 29 degrees, and master test kit showed PH 7.0, High Range PH 7.4, Ammonia 0.25ppm, Nitrite 0.00ppm, Nitrate 20.0 ppm. Community tank but with one large Blue Gourami as the aggressor, perhaps this may have contributed to their demise (although he never chased them?)
@@jb45south I don’t; if I added it do you think it would help? Since the death of those Rams, I have added two Malawi cichlids and a Firemouth cichlid they seem to be thriving?
As a man who teaches presentation skills at USC, I advise you to never start a video with an apology unless you’ve done something truly worthy of an apology. Thanks for the info on ram tank mates.
Our first pleco spawn was actually laid an hatched in a hang on the back filter. Lol😂 i was heart broken that one of our males where missing but nope he was just being a good dad.
Hi Justin. Loved this video. You made it look so simple 😄. I tried raising ram fries and I don’t know why I am losing about 5-10 fries daily. I am feeding them bbs and l can’t stop them dying. After first week I kept on losing fries daily. So I moved them to an aquarium 1 feet length* 9inch breadth * 1 feet height. Aquarium filled to 60-70% with water. . But the story continues. Sad part is the bigger ones which are already 2 weeks older is dying. I am down to 15 fries 😅. I am doing a small water change thrice a day and feeding bbs. I just can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. Water tds was 300. Temp at 28 degree Celsius. Should I add only aged aquarium water as fresh water for water change?
