I like your kitchen. I also had a stroke, And I also live in Portland. Now.my name is Jack.I had my stroke at 58 and am now 64. Never thought I would make it this far.
Oh my gosh, thank you for this video! I had elbow surgery and have been struggling to get a bra on for weeks and had to ask for help. I got it on the first try because of this video.
this is not putting a bra on with one hand!!!! this is 2! i am in plaster and barely able to move my fingers; it hurts to do so; the most they could grip would be a small piece of paper so no way could they grip and hold the tension required for a properly fitted bra which fits firmly round your back. back to the drawing board or my - male - neighbour, bless him.
THIS IS A AWESOME VIDEO 10 **********'S . especially if you are having rotator surgery. That's a MAJOR problem in putting on a bra if you are NOT able to go about without one on. Sports bras are OUT as these go over the head. Front closure bras would be a better option I guess. Will try one and just follow your tip. Thanks so much for demonstrating this. The shoulder repair MUST be mobilized for several weeks in a sling but you still have to get dressed . If you can get away without wearing a bra , HURRAY for you .. that's comfort I say. But NOT HERE. :(:(
Have you seen anyone who can put it on a tighter bra band in a manner that doesn't require twisting it around? I wear size 46i, and a properly fit bra isnt loose enough for that. But I no longer have the hand strength to hold the straps and hook it at the correct spit If not, I will just have to buy btas that don't fit right (which means the wires sit wrong and gouge me, and my bras are $65 and require fancy fittings, and I didn't realize just how lucky I was when it was painful but still possible to strap my bra). I live alone and can't keep trying yo trap my arm around so that the numb and useless fingers can hold the hook. I have been looking for months for some sort of claw to hold it. I am so tired of being embarrassed that I can't get a bra on and without it my clothes don't fit bc my "sacks" sit down by my waist and not on my chest.
Extremely super idea Madam, hope it could help my mom. I'll show her this video tomorrow morning & ask her to adopt this way, since she is sleeping now. Anyhow, before she finds comfortable I just thought that I must share my great comments for you, for your wonderful narrations.. As such, my mom is having some rotator cuff injury in her left hand. I took her to the Physiotherapy class regularly for a week & she also tried some exercises. In fact, the worst part is she is grumbling that she is just not able to hook her bra, unable to scratch my back while bathing..etc..etcs.. Since she is a working lady she has to manage both domestic & official work intact that too, in time. She was virtually getting worried for not getting any solution to her problem like. This video certainly seem to reduce one of her key issues, I suppose.. Thanks a lot madam..So sweet of you!! God bless you!!
Personally I am not concerned with wearing a bra. But I write a short story, in which a woman puts on a bra, sitting on a bed. I had no idea how to describe this scene. After watching your video I was able to do it, even in a more original way than I intended. By the way - you solved the problem by reversing the steps, which is often used in science. Many thanks for publishing!
Thank you! I just had a stroke in July and couldn’t figure out how to get this damn bras on! I almost got sent to the psych ward!! You saved me from a life of a flat chest. Signed, pres of Ittybittytittircommiytee
I'm about to go in for surgery on my left elbow, ulnar nerve damage, they gonna move it, I'll be in a brace for 3 weeks, and I'm panicking about how to put a bra on with one arm lol
I just had carpal tunnel surgery on one handed and I can't put on a bra I have no sports bras not that my girls would fit in a sports bra but anyways thank you so much for sharing this I thought I was going to have to free boob it all around for a whole month and yeah thank you thank you thank you
Thank you so much for the video! My speech difficulties are fairly minor, but significant for a priest who's trying to give sermons. Thus far, practice, practice, practice, and it seems to be working - sometimes. :) Thanks for the encouragement!
Thank you so much for this video. I have been struggling for years. I thought it was hopeless. You make it look so easy, I know with practice it will be.
My best friend just suffered from a stroke caused by an AVM. He is very lucky. He got stuck in 110 degrees heat in Arizona because he couldn't use his phone and his truck overheated. Lucky he didn't crash. After a month I need the hospital he is recovering very well. He has what seems to be similar to the Vision cut, on the right sides of both of his eyes. Did your vision ever get any better. Did you have to wear special glasses shown in one photo? I can definitely say that his vision is depressing for him and he cannot drive or move quickly. This is a long road. Any insight may help. Thank you so much for your time.
This was my experience, AVMs are never the same. This photo of me was taken at BIRC (Brain Rehabilitation Center) so the occupational therapist was helping me regain my vision. Some people regain their vision in a couple of months, personally that has not happened to me. I still have a permanent loss in both of my eyes. Because of that, I stopped driving for the safety of people around me. I think the biggest thing is be stubborn and determined, but be realistic as well. Theres the number of things I can't do, but a whole lot of things I CAN do. Please contact me if you have any more questions! Best of luck to you and your friend. Xx
