I have twin 11 month olds and when I started watching your videos around the time of flooding, I realized I could be letting my babies crawl around my yard and garden.. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate that you give yourself grace and remind yourself to enjoy each season. Many people told me to "enjoy them now." But honestly, I still enjoy them! From tweens to young adults, they share their adventures.
You're just so amazing. I remember when I was about 4 we lived in Dalton, Massachusetts. Early 50's era. My mom would freeze produce. Dad would help. I also remember from that home, my parents going to a day old bakery for bread. It was 3¢ a loaf. They filled the car. My brother and I sat in the back seat of a big old Dodge sedan amidst the bread. It smelled wonderful. Mom froze it of course. You are making wonderful memories for many people.

We have a garden just about every year..my daughter n I worked hard on picking the stuff n putting it up in the freezer..she has 4 in her little family, and it's just my husband n I now..we all live on our property, so we all was able to work in our garden together..my son in law plowed it up n laid off the we rows, and then my husband n I planted some, then my daughter n son in love, planted some in it..we have enjoyed getting to harvest our own food n put it up for winter..n we've enjoyed eating from it all summer too .The Lord sure has blessed us with it..tfs..it's been a joy to watch yall preserve the food yall did..
Great video! Never learned so much about canning - would like to try that when I retire. I saw you using freezer bags - my suggestion would be to use reusable silicone bags. For me, they seal well and I find less freezer burn on items plus I’m not paying for bags to be thrown away.
You make everything you do so calming. I absolutely love your videos. You are the best. Your kiddos always helping warms my heart so. They are so precious.
It is a blessing to have fresh vegetables and fruits from the garden if they produce. You are even more blessed to have neighbors and friends who share their bounty with you. Preserving is a lost art of homemaking. We are fortunate to live in areas that allow us to grow God's beautiful seeds. Our garden did not produce as it should. Our neighbor shared when he could. The taste was supreme. Thank you for a wonderful video reminding us of the different ways of preserving, and yes, there will be oops😂 among the preserving. Everything works out in the end. Loved the children helping, the little one eating the green bean, and the family enjoying the refrifgerated jelly after the lid came off during the bath cycle. This is what I call living ❤.
Thanks for the video I really enjoyed it!! This year I didn’t do a big garden, as I realized my capacity was maxed out.. I also am not sure where to get bulk produce in our area with the flooding so many lost their gardens.. living vicariously through you!!
I hear with needing to keep limitations. Gardening and preserving is a lot of work and sometimes we have to say less is more. Could you find a Hutterite colony or Amish community that you could ask to purchase from?

Love all the canning this time of year! It reminds me of working in the kitchen with my grandma and mom preserving all kinds of goodies... both are gone now, but the memories remain. I just finished canning two bushel of Red Haven peaches ..and it took me a whole day to clean my kitchen afterward and 'unstick' everything lol I didn't record how many I did last year so I guessed and bought two bushel...it made 81 pints, 14 quarts and 18 jars of jam 😂 there's only 3 of us at home now so that may have been overdoing it a little but I sure had fun 😊
My home was just inder 800 square feet. My daughter and my dad lived with me and we were very comfortable. I added a screen porch onto the back so we could enjoy the outdoors without all the bugs. It was my favorite home. I love your home and it is very comfortable and inviting.
Thanks so much for this encouraging video. We're currently a family of 4 (with another baby on the way!) and will soon be moving into our first home after renting for 5 years. Its a small cottage with 1 bedroom and minimal storage in the country, but 2 acres of land. You just do what you need to do and make it work! We'll eventually add on to the house but it all takes time 😊

There are no coincidences 😊 when I retired from work, I still kept the job of Church treasurer and financial secretary, it keeps me busy and I am giving back to my church which I love. I belong to a Baptist Church in Massachusetts. My husband passed away in 2014, I just love my Church because we are one big family. Loved everything that you did. Davee, thank you for reminding us of the blessings we all have if we just look hard enough. You are so blessed to have 3 beautiful children. I always longed to be a mother but my husband and I were unable to have children. I think now that we could be enjoying grandchildren but the Lord just didn’t have that in His plan for our lives. You have a sweet little home where love abounds. Unfortunately we all long for things at times that we don’t have. It’s part of our fallen nature. I often think of the homeless people who would love to have a home. We are blessed to have somewhere to lay our head at night. Our God is an awesome God!
I really needed this reminder, that I have all I need and I am truly blessed. As well as to stop the jealousy social media bug that sometimes makes me think I need more. Thank you for putting my brain back on track. God bless
