Also the stars don’t mean how she’s acting, they’re not actually there, it might signify that aqua feels ai there as some protecting and hugging and feeling for him
Akane is not manipulative in anyway The "star" is a reference to talent Sometimes it can be linked to your emotional state Basically at that moment the star eyes manifested because shes totally ready to help aqua in anyway possible
I think the director has been doing his own digging into Ai's death. He's probably keeping it a secret partly because Aqua probably wouldn't like it and partly because he doesn't want to risk giving him wrong or misleading information.
akane doesnt strike me as a manipulative person, especially with piecing together aqua's secret and not immediately telling aqua that she knows. i also dont think she would hold it over his head or try to goad kana about how she knows something about aqua that kana doesnt. i believe that she will be aqua's ally in this.
21:28 The stars in Akane's eyes don't 100% mean she's acting like Ai. She got them for the role, sure, but as we know, Ruby and Aqua also have one in their eyes. The star implies their talent and is not something limited to Ai. For Akane, her talent is basically being highly deductive and piecing everything together, something that helps her understand her acting roles. In episode one of this season, we even saw it when she was trying to get into the character of Princess Saya. This time when she was talking to Aqua, she didn't change her voice tone to Ai's cheerful or joking tone, but kept her soft and shy style, implying that she was still herself. But with a lot of new information about Aqua and his situation.
21:23 “I feel like she might be over manipulative…” I don’t feel that from Akane’s character. She originally got into Ai’s character so that she could contribute to the dating reality show. And now, I only feel her wanting to help and comfort Aqua. I don’t see any ulterior motives from her or trying to manipulate Aqua’s vulnerabilities at this moment. That’s why she didn’t even say that she figured out that Ai may be Aqua’s mother. She just said she’s acting from her own scenario that she imagined for herself to explain her tears.
Funnily enough, the other way around is true. Aqua has a terrible lack of empathy and even though he doesn’t mean bad and don’t want to harm anyone, he can’t love or hate anyone and the only way he sees other people is how useful they are to him. He manipulates people casually since the beginning of the series (Ruby to not join an underground idol group, Kana to join Ruby’s group, Abiko and Raida this arc were manipulated by Aqua too). And he completely wrapped Akane around for the single reason that she might be useful to him. He doesn’t hate Akane, he doesn’t mean harm to her. But he saw her amazing deduction skills, thought "wow she’ll be useful to me" and then asked her out and manipulated her into falling in love with him even though he doesn’t have an once of love for her. I think Akane is smart enough to weight on people and get her ways, but not quite as much as Aqua. I don’t think she could manipulate him even if she tried lol.
As far as Kana know Miyako is Aqua's mother of course she wouldn't know if his mother had passed away, the director also doesn't know Aqua is Ai's child as far as he know he went to counseling for getting caught up in a traumatic incident, from the folder we saw he could probably piece it together considering he has separate folder for Aqua and Hoshino (family/siblings) but as far as we know he just know Aqua as an Ai fanboy
I think Director knows cause i think Ai introduced Aqua to the director, so i think he knows that Aqua is Ai's child. It is further proved in this episode that even he gets ptsd from that scene, so it also proves he knows. I may be wrong cause its been a while.
I think the only reason the director doesn't know is because he doesn't think too much in that direction. If he did, he'll notice almost immediately the resemblance between Ruby and Ai's faces.
The Director knows that Aqua was present in Ai's death. He is the only one outside Miyako and Ichigo Saitou that knows that Aqua and Ruby were in Ai's apartment when the murder happened. It is unclear when it happened but it is strongly implied, even here, that he knows that Aqua and Ruby were Ai's children and it is even implied that he was one of the witnesses of the aftermath of the murder.
This joker is the best i love his outfit and i can tell he love harley he's nothing like the joker from the harley quinn series i hate that joker he's one of the worst isekai joker is the best 😊
The time stop move that Bam used was actually something he learned in season one. It’s called “reverse flow” and he learned it from the red haired test director (can’t remember his name 😅). It’s a pretty high level move and the bigger the difference in power between you and your target, the longer you can freeze them.
@@2CentsAnime don't worry if you don't remember, because the anime staff doesn't either. This skill have different visual effects in Season 1 and Season 2. Season 1 = Water Bubble effect Season 2 = Gray screen Time Stop effect Why this is happening?? Because there is no fixed visual effect in the webtoon too.... It's just based on explanation text or character speaking what they feels. The S2 anime studio actually made the visual to be more "shocking" (like time stop from Jojo Bizzare Adventure), compared to season 1 lame water bubble. Season 2 visual effect gives more impression to how important that technique is. The anime staff in Season 1 doesn't understand power system in TOG. They don't care and also probably thought it was only just a one time project. No more continuation. But now we have Season 2 by different studio!! Ohh there is also the fact that Tower of God is a Korean comic. The anime is produced by Japanese people. So they don't really care about "non-japanese product" like TOG.... Because of this, the anime staff never consult directly with the original author SIU. Because Korean and Japanese don't work well together because of their war&conflict history. The anime studio and staffs made this anime through brainstorming and comprehending process. Trying to understand what's happening in the comic. Because sometimes it gets confusing scenes.
I love the series so far, think that it for sure gets better after this. I kinda think that these first 3 episodes are sort of like a prologue. And then it gets pretty good moving forward. Hope you do continue, the next episode starts to make the series better and I think you'll really love episode 6. Hopefully you do react to more :)
I really enjoyed this episode, it really presented the theme of the series well; “the passage of time,” it’s really helped me kick my head in gear- and watching reaction videos re-invigorates the same feelings I got when I also initially watched the series. W for the algorithm.
I would like you to listen to Isn't that Thomas and yasuke ya naikai, which are becoming very popular songs in Japan these days. The songs were written by Japanese people in response to a number of statements made by a foreigner called Thomas Lockley about Japanese history. This Thomas Lockley is the most well-known foreigner in Japan at the moment, with 91063 Japanese chasing him in just one month, and many more chasing him in X. It is a miracle if he is known by 3100 people in one month. He is a very rare foreigner.
Thanks a lot for your super fast video uploading ! ....i love this series and Abi-ko sensei🤩 Shuei-sha / Jump or others be same as this ep ?! Manga pop authors be sick reasonably...😨😮💨 i hoping next.
If you're interested to learn more about the manga industry I'd recommend watching Bakuman, it explains a lot about the basics of running a weekly series and the sudden cancelations and rushed endings of some series
Khun is one of the 10 families. Remember how he let out the people in his bag in s1 and blew everyone away running to the chair? That was just his natural speed, and anime watchers never considered it was him being super strong.
1:21 no, they are still on floor 20. the tower of god is not a typical tower that you can climb with stairs or an elevator. each floor is like it's own separate world. regulars climb the tower by passing the tests and then teleporting to the next floor.
10:48 well bam said hes a fug slayer candidate and lives to kill jahad and the 10 great families. Thats why wangnan thought he was gonna die, he thought bam (viole here) was going to kill him for having the ring 😂
"I thought she passed" No, she didn't "beat" everyone with her fire, she accidentally burned everyone and got disqualified (and everyone else got disqualified too for being incapable to take the test cause they were all burnt), she didn't do it on purpose. That's why Wangnan says she burns teammates and not just enemies. "Is Khun one of them?" Yeah, Khun, Yeon, You've also met a Lo Po Bia (the Jahad assassin in season 1 that Yuri beat up), as well as a "Ha" (Yuri herself). You've seen tons of Khuns actually xD Aguero, Maria in Aguero's flashback flashback, the guy who invaded Aguero's lighthouse in the first season is also a Khun, and Maschenny, the Jahad princess in Yuri's scene in the previous episode is a Khun too. Laura in the first season is also technically from a great family (hence why he was already such a great wave controller from the start) but not the main branch so he has a different surname from the actual family whose surname hasn't been revealed yet. Fun fact: In the manhwa, in order to demonstrate the machine, Love the proctor used it himself and scored 13 million (a hundred times stronger than Viole). So no one was going to break the machine if even the proctor, a ranker, could hit it without it breaking xD "Are they just going to let him take the test? He blatantly announced that he's a FUG member" Remember that the top authority on a floor is the Administrator, like the giant sea monster you saw in season 1 that Bam had to make a contract with, that was the Administrator for the floor of tests. The Administrators let rankers proctor tests for them, but the rankers can't do whatever they want, if the administrator isn't happy, he can override the test or fire the rankers administrating them. So even if a terrorist comes to take the test, the proctors have to let them take a mostly fair test (plus rankers generally can't attack people who climb the tower directly, it's also a rule enforced by the various administrators because rankers are way too strong). They can try and find underhanded ways to get rid of that test-taker but they must be careful not to piss off the administrator of that floor. Here, Love took advantage of Viole refusing to follow the rules to get him in a 1v1 test against him. Otherwise he wouldn't be allowed to dunk on a tester like that no matter whether Viole is a criminal or not. Criminals are entitled to climbing the tower, same as anyone else.
There’s so many good gags in the changelings episodes that won’t get animated/are hard to miss. Chilchuck and marcille checking their important bits when they changed kills me. Senshi’s whole demeanor from his point of view didn’t change but everyone in the party treated him differently because he was an elf which made him rethink how he treated marcille in the past. Chilchuck definitely seems to realize how young marcille looks as a half foot. He’s already a girl dad but this bit for me is when it clicks that marcille and izutsumi are his newest kids. The manga has a bit about the bell that the anime cut. When Shuro first gives it to laios with it constantly ringing because he dropped it the bottom of his bag. The changelings chapter brings it back when laios chucks the bell down the hallway for izutsumi to chase but the anime cut it as well. Poor shuro slowly losing his mind from the constant bell noises. 23:24 The woman at the end when laios is describing the party is the former mage Asivia. She joined the party and immediately tried to hook up with laios and get special treatment from him. It was so bad namari and chilchuck were going to quit over it. Laios was clueless about the whole thing until chilchuck handed him an ultimatum. Marcille joined after her and really fixed the party dynamic because no one would tell her why the party had an issue with the previous mage. She really wanted the gossip so sucked up to everyone. The other half foot is dadan who is chilchuck’s coworker and the precious rogue of the party. He introduced laios to chilchuck when laios wanted to go to the fourth floor and lower since dadan only works up to the third floor.
This episode explains so much on why Senshi always prioritizes everyone else on his party over his own. He wants to follow Gillan’s example in nurturing and taking care of the young’ns. He even started wearing Gillan’s helmet as something to remember his old friend by. Senshi was 36 at the time his mining party was annihilated and he’s 112 in present day. So before meeting Laios and the others, he had been all alone for 76 long years…
