I have been pulling my hair out over two days tying to get a Bose 600 soundbar working with the eArc HDMI port on my LG Smart TV with no success. I came across this video and followed the instructions to unplug the power from both TV and soundbar, then unplug all connections to my TV, then plug in the tv to power and wait 20 seconds for the TV to power up, then plug the soundbar to power, then plug the soundbar HDMI to the eArc connection on the TV and then select a Amazon Prime show. NOW SOUND IS COMING OUT OF THE SOUNDBAR! Then I plugged in the cable box and my Blu-Ray DVD player. All is working now! It’s important to follow the sequence outlined in this video.
If I don't care about surround sound and I am interested only about music performance, would there be a difference between BAR 500 and BAR 800 with rear speakers permanently attached? Thank you.
Very helpful! Just a question, I bought A Samsung TV S090D and the soundbar also Samsung HW Q990D. So I should connect PC to soundbar and soundbar to TV right?
My Chrome Cast is not working at all, I don't know the reason, only the orange light is showing and the color of the light is not changing even with the reset button. Can you help me about this??
my dad is haing a issue with the jbl soundbar where it turns off and only plays through the sub and ive tried to help but i can't seem to figure it out i will share this video with him hopefully this works
Orbit soundbar was working but moved house and now all i get is a low pumping sound from the sound bar only nothing from the subwoofer, i notice when power is on the power pack has a solid green light but when the soundbar is switched on this green light flashes on/off and no lights show on the actual soundbar so does this mean the power pack has failed(power pack meaning the black box between the plug and the sub.
Mine’s still not working.. my soundbar works still fine I just tested it on my phone with the BT. It’s in arc both ways but when I turn up the volume on my TV there’s just a muted sign not allowing me to put a volume up or anything. No sound comes out of the soundbar. It’s a LG C1 OLES TV, and I’ve used the soundbar before on it so idk why it suddenly is messing.. I think my case is honestly a mystery, but don’t everyone say that? I’ve tried everything in the video as well, an old and a new cable still nothing. Even bought a digital optical cable and it won’t connect to the soundbar. That’s the issue, the tv is not connecting audio to the soundbar
I bought a new tv, went from Samsung tv with Samsung sound bar, and now to a Sony tv with the same Samsung sound bar. I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working correctly, but then watched this video and put both HDMI connections to the eARC - boom problem solved. Thank you!
I have a problem, I bought a Samsung QE55QN85CAUXRU TV and I bought a soundbar from Sony G700. on the soundbar sometimes there is sound from the TV, sometimes there is no If everything works on the TV is HDMI-Earc connection, but when there is no sound on the TV screen show the connection is just HDMI and there is no way to select HDMI and Earc, as at this time display show indikation TV. and every time for the soundbar to work normally and correctly, I have to unplug it from the outlet and then plug it back in, I don’t know what to do, if you can give some advice, I’ll be gratefu. and I also do not have the Dolby atoms function active on my TV((((:
Wow. I found your video today. My sound would not come from my Sony Soundbar when I turned on my Samsung TV and the Sony Soundbar. I unplugged the tv and the soundbar for 10 seconds and plugged the tv in first and then the soundbar and there's sound. Thank you so much!!
First person to tell that the HDMI goes into the out port,I.ve sent 3 hours on U tube and Roku chat to no avail , You had me up and running in 2 minutes Thank you very much
I was told that under no circumstance you should place your sub under the couch or in obscured places as it interferes with the distribution of soundwaves. What do you think about that?
I have soundbars with Dolby Atmos in 5.1.4. But I have a ceiling fan in the middle of my room and I have short ceilings . So I can’t really tell the difference I think the fan is messing with the audio waves somehow maybe I am wrong. I don’t know.
You really need to pause a little betwixt sentences as you talk so fast. Also, CEC is not always a good thing, I had to disable it on my TV as every time I switched on my Manhattan PVR it switched on my TV (as I want it to do) but it also then switched on my AVR which I didn't want as I rarely watch TV via the AVR.
I used to sell both, and they (both of them) are very good systems. However, I found the Bose to be more musical and warm, Sonos is good for movies. If you sync the sound according to your room, either one will work fine.
