To be in a state of grace, see John 14: 23. If we commit any of these sins mentioned with full knowledge and consent then God no longer abides in us and we become spiritually dead. If we die in this state we condemn ourselves to Hell. We only have one life. Please," repent and believe the Gospel." Be reconciled to God ,go to confession and get back into a state of grace. God bless. Vivo Christo Rey.

JESUS BROKE THE BREAD AND GAVE IT , YES GAVE IT IN THEIR HAND. In the bible is God' left hand metioned ? We should not receive the cmmunion in the left hand. When we receive it in tongue , the mass server places a plate underneath the chin to prevent the communion falling to the ground. So when we receive it by our right hand , let th left hand be kept as a plate.

Within the Roman Catholic Church, making the Sign of the Cross is not merely a pious gesture, it is a sacramental of the Church, which the Church defines as "sacred signs which bear a resemblance to the sacraments"; Section 1670 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) states, "Sacramentals do not confer the grace of the Holy Spirit in the way that the sacraments do, but by the Church's prayer, they prepare us to receive grace and dispose us to cooperate with it. *Catholic doctrine teaches that*.... First. Making the sign of the cross is an expression of belief in the Trinity. We sign ourselves professing our faith in God. Second... we mark ourselves remembering that we died with Christ in baptism. Third... we make the sign to declare that we belong to Christ as His disciple and will obey Him. Fourth ... we sign ourselves to embrace whatever suffering comes and to celebrate our suffering with Christ for the Church. Fifth ... we make the Sign of the Cross as a defense against the devil and as an offensive advance of God’s kingdom against him. Finally ... we make the Sign of the Cross to crucify our flesh and to put on Christ and His behaviors.

When we make the Sign of the Cross, we praise God! There is no limit to when and where and how often we are to praise God. Neither the Bible, nor Sacred Tradition, nor the Pope, nor the Roman Catholic Church has ever placed a limit on praising God or making the Sign of the Cross in honour of God. There is NO instructions anywhere that says you MUST NOT make the Sign of the Cross more than twice during the Mass!!! I have asked my Parish priest and I have asked the Abbott at Mt. St. Benedict and they have said that there is NO such restriction! I can only conclude that the source of this attempt to stop the faithful from freely praising God has come from the evil one. Anyone who says that you MUST not make the Sign of the Cross other than at the beginning and the end of the Mass is confused and deceived by the devil.

I have 3 questions. What should you do if it is impossible for you to go to Confession for some reason? What type of music should Catholics avoid listening to? If Apple Inc. releases another Apple Watch this year on September or October, should they make a watch face that features the liturgical calendar for Catholics who buy that new Apple Watch?

Hi, I have a question regarding the end times. Do Catholics believe in the Rapture?
@catholicguides1
@catholicguides1 7 дней назад
What the Catholic Church Teaches About the Rapture An area of Catholic theology that is often misunderstood by non-Catholics and Catholics alike is that of the end times and the rapture. The concepts of the end of the world and death are very dramatized and in many ways mysterious in our current society. Because of this, much fiction has been mixed in with truth, blurring the lines between what has been revealed in scripture, and what are simply fanatical ideas. When many people, Protestant and Catholic alike, think of the end times, they automatically think of the rapture, a type of “Left Behind” event. In this event, those who are right with God are mysteriously taken up into heaven, and those who are living in sin, remain on Earth during a time of tribulation and chaos. The Catholic teaching on the end times however, does not support this type of event. The word “rapture” comes from the Latin word meaning “to be caught up” or “taken up”. This refers to the passage in St. Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians 4:17 which states, “then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord.” The Catholic understanding of this passage is that those believers who are alive during Christ’s second coming will not experience death, but rather, will be gloriously transformed and join the saints already with Christ. Nowhere in 1 Thessalonians does St. Paul teach a secret coming of Christ. Furthermore, St. Paul states that Christ’s coming will be announced by the cry of an archangel and by a trumpet blast. St. Paul is describing the resurrection of the dead that will take place at Christ’s second coming. It appears, when reading 1 Thessalonians that Christians at the time were worried that those who died before Christ’s second coming would not share in His triumphant return. Paul assures them that when the time comes, they will join the resurrected to meet the Lord and will share in Christ’s triumphant descent from heaven to earth.

How did Teshuvah creep into the Catholic Church? Teshuvah is for those who don’t believe Christ is the final sacrifice for all sins, and the final temple (I will raise this Temple in 3 days). Makes sense if you wonder where the doctrines of diaspora Jews went when then were forced to accept Catholicism.
@craigslist6630
@craigslist6630 8 дней назад
Teshuvah is constant repentance in lieu of Temple sacrifices for Jews who do not believe Christ was the Lamb of God.

There was no such things as contraceptives in the time of Jesus, so how could this be in the Bible? So the only thing that you can do in marriage to prevent having too many children is not having sex? doesn’t that also go against God’s law of obeying your husband when he want sex?

Hi, i have 3 questions from the mortal sins video before taking communion. Do I must confess my mortal sins with a priest? Can a christian take communion from a catholic mass? What happens if I accidentally broke the communion apart? I still ate it
@catholicguides1
@catholicguides1 9 дней назад
Yes, your confession your mortal sin to a "Catholic" Priest There are procedures to receive communion ,first you must be enrolled as a Catholic and attend Catechism class for the sacrament of Baptism and Holy Communion before you can be qualified to receive Holy Communion. Also note ; Catholics are Christians, Catholic Church is the universal Church of Christ since 33AD "You're Peter and upon this rock I will build my church" If you "mistakenly" broke the Holy Communion, just make sure you pick all the particles and consume. BUT there is no room for it to break ,it either received from the Priest's hand ,direct to the mouth or he placed it on your left palm,then you pick it with the right hand fingers and consume . Thank you

Your video is showing “Communion on the Tongue”. It is incontrovertibly clear that Christians received Christ in the Holy Eucharist in the hand for the first 800 years after the death of Our Lord. Christ “gave” the Eucharist to the apostles, He did not place it on their tongues. Christ did not say, “Here, let me put this on your tongue...” He said, “Take this and eat of it...” (Matthew 26:26) Apart from scripture, many other references are recorded in antiquity. If you read the Church Fathers, it is beyond a doubt that early Christians received Communion in the hand. As a matter of fact, they have provided us with some insights into how the early Christians received the Holy Eucharist. Here are a few examples: St. Cyril of Jerusalem (313-386): In his Catechetical Lectures, St. Cyril described the manner of receiving the Eucharist in Jerusalem. He instructed the faithful to approach with their hands formed in the shape of a cross, receive the Eucharist in their hands, and then consume it. He emphasized the reverence and care with which one should handle the Eucharist, saying, "Approaching, therefore, come not with thy wrists extended, or thy fingers spread; but make thy left hand a throne for the right, as for that which is to receive a King." St. Ambrose of Milan (337-397): St. Ambrose wrote about the practice of receiving the Eucharist. He considered it a sign of humility and submission, stating, "You receive the Sacrament with the hollow of your hand, and take it with your mouth, your hand thus serving as a patent." He believed that receiving on the tongue was a fitting way to approach the sacredness of the Eucharist. St. Basil the Great: St. Basil the Great, an influential theologian of the fourth century, discusses the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in his work titled "On the Holy Spirit." He writes, "When you go to receive Communion, approach with your right hand open and extended, making your palm a throne for the King, and receive the body of Christ, saying, 'Amen.'" Tertullian: Tertullian, an early Christian writer from the second and third centuries, mentions the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in his work titled "On Prayer." He writes, "The flesh is nourished with the body and blood of Christ...the hand receives the Eucharist, and the mouth is filled." St. John Chrysostom: St. John Chrysostom, a prominent theologian and bishop of the fourth century, references the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in his homilies. In one of his homilies, he states, "When you approach to receive Communion, place your hand beneath your other hand, and receive the body of Christ, saying, 'Amen.'" St. Cyril of Alexandria: St. Cyril of Alexandria, a prominent theologian and bishop of the fifth century, discusses the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in his work titled "Commentary on Luke." He explains, "Approaching, therefore, do not come with your hands extended or with your fingers apart, but making your left hand a throne for the right, which is to receive the King, and in the hollow of the palm receive the body of Christ, saying, 'Amen.'" Apostolic Tradition of Hippolytus: The Apostolic Tradition of Hippolytus, a third-century liturgical text attributed to Hippolytus of Rome, provides instructions for the Eucharistic celebration. It states, "The faithful shall receive the offering after the presbyters from the bishop or the deacon. And they shall take it with reverence, giving thanks to God, and shall hold it in their hands, and shall say, 'Amen.'" St. Ephrem the Syrian: St. Ephrem the Syrian, a theologian and hymnographer from the fourth century, mentions the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in one of his hymns. He writes, "I saw the Lord giving the disciples his body and his blood in their hands." St. John Damascene: St. John Damascene, a theologian and hymnographer from the eighth century, discusses the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in his work titled "Exposition of the Orthodox Faith." He writes, "When you approach to receive Communion, make of your left hand a throne for the right, which is to receive the King." St. Augustine: St. Augustine, a renowned theologian and bishop of the fourth and fifth centuries, mentions the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in his work titled "Sermons on the New Testament." In one of his sermons, he states, "You are to approach [the Eucharist] with open mouth, holy hands, and attentive heart." St. Gregory of Nyssa: St. Gregory of Nyssa, a prominent theologian and bishop of the fourth century, references the practice of receiving Communion in the hand in his work titled "On the Baptism of Christ." He writes, "He who mystically represents the hand of Christ receives the body of Christ." St. Jerome: St. Jerome, a theologian and biblical scholar of the fourth and fifth centuries, comments on the practice of receiving Communion in his work titled "Commentary on Matthew." He writes, "When you approach to receive the body of the Lord, respond 'Amen' to the priest, and with your right hand receive the sacred body." These examples highlight the historical evidence and understanding of the early Christian practice of receiving Communion in the hand. They demonstrate that the faithful would approach the Eucharist with reverence, open hands, and a heartfelt response to faith. And then of course, there is the “health concern” that comes with communion on the tongue. If people wish to receive on the tongue, then they should wait until the end of the communion line and receive then. Communion on the tongue exposes the minister’s hand to the communicant’s bodily aerosol and/or fluids, increasing the possibility of viral infection. The minister should sanitize their hands before and after distributing Communion on the tongue. Communion on the tongue should not be given in areas with very high spikes in local infections (eg. cold and flu outbreaks). (As an aside, in our parish we have a rather aged extraordinary minister of the Eucharist who has Parkinson’s Disease and trembles uncontrollably, who distributes communion on a regular basis. Many people are reluctant to go to him for fear of contracting a disease through contact with someone else’s saliva from this minister’s hands.) Some clerics will tell you that the Eucharist should only be touched by “consecrated hands”. My only counter to the argument of “consecrated hands” is, “Has your tongue been consecrated? Has your stomach, (or any of the other parts of your body that I cannot mention here), been consecrated?” If your priest or bishop takes this approach, which part of your body does he consider to be fit to host the King of Kings? Pope Francis says the Church is a field hospital and that She has a miracle drug called the Eucharist, but that all her ministers seem reluctant to give it out. We have come up with all sorts of reasons not to administer to the sick. If those clerics and other “educated” Christians tell you communion on the tongue is the only acceptable way to receive Our Lord, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, then I guess Jesus Christ, his apostles, Scripture, the early martyred Christians, the Early Church Fathers and the rules that conduct the Holy Mass, are all wrong. How does one rationally argue against any of this? I think I shall stick with Communion in the hand, it is in keeping with Church regulation and is much healthier for me. It's the way Christ instructed us to do it!

I do not understand why this video is titled this way. It's not just 12 mortal sins that must be confessed before receiving the Most Holy Eucharist, it is EVERY mortal sin on your soul that one remembers with a truly contrite heart that MUST be confessed. ANY mortal sin that is intentionally omitted by a penitent makes the confession invalid and stains the soul with yet ANOTHER mortal sin.

John Chrysostom, another early father of the church, in 347 A.D. stated that human beings, made in the image and likeness of God, are more worthy of receiving Communion in their hands than a metal cup or bowl “because those vessels are made so for our sakes. They partake not of Him that is in them, they perceive Him not. But we do-yes, verily.” Our hands are the direct means by which we hold the body of Christ and connect to the celebration of the Eucharist, whether or not those hands are ordained. “I would say priests are not more worthy or holy to receive in the hand than all the members of the People of God,” said Father Janowiak.
