Welcome to The Schmitter's 100 Acre Woods! My name is Nick, I bought this old coal property in 2018. We've been working on clearing it, creating paths, and leveling it so I can eventually build a pole barn and house. On my channel, you'll see cutting and splitting firewood, general maintenance of tractors and an RTV, and more outdoorsy adventures.

How well does this keep the battery charged up? A couple weeks? A couple months? I literally have everything to do this and am going to set cameras out next weekend but want to know if the solar panel keeps the battery charged or does it just kinda work
It really just kinda works. The thing I have found that works best is a car/garden tractor battery. You can buy just the cable and wire a couple connectors on and connect to a full battery. I have had that out for 4 months with no issues. The only extra thing I did was wire a fuse inline so if something did short it wouldn't smoke the cable or camera.
@@TheSchmitters100AW I kinda figured that it only kinda worked, I don’t think the solar panels on those HME things really work that great to be able to keep the battery charged even in low use areas
Nice. Looks good. Seems like it would be beneficial to increase the depth of your rabbet to slightly past 0.5" for a 1" thick siding board so when you stack them it does not push the bottom of the upper piece out away from the wall.
New subscriber here, would like more step by step instructions on your projects so I can learn what you know. Tools, hardware, building techniques etc.
Question. when using your grabble do u have the front protection plate./cover on it ? i have a 2024 M62 Dealer said i have to take off when using land pride grabble causing of there hoses?? I said kubota designed the cover should not have to take on and off?? i also have front quick release arm set up?
I am not sure we have the protection plate you are talking about. We have the 3rd function values that were dealer installed. So we don't have issues with the hoses or having to take anything additional on or off. Ours is a K&A grapple but that shouldn't matter. If you can take a picture of it and send it to theschmitters100aw@gmail.com I am curious to see which piece it is.
i have a 2024 m62 with quick release arms to switch forks/buckets and grabble. dealer left the front factory protection cover plate off . said it will not when using the land pride grabble in the way the hoses?? i said kubota designed the cover for this back hoe?? it should work ?? do u have cover on yours .what brand grabble. THanks joe
I like the metal around the bottom in addition to blocking some wind it's a nice look. I think grinding off those screws is a good idea you don't want to have to reach blindly down there while cooking and rip open your hand.
Thanks, it does add a nice look to it. And matches the other building. And yes ended up cutting those off before putting sealer on it. It looks better and is safer. 👍🏼
Do you happen to have a draw bar and supporting brackets on your M62? If so, any chance you could measure the distance between the top of the draw bar and center of PTO shaft? Thanks.
Building your own grill pavilion took a lot of applied skills! I can see how much forethought had to go into making all of the cuts and angles for it to come together. Great work! 🤠
I think there are some things on the market but we have not tried them. It would be nice to find a good solution because there will be times we will need treated material.
