I just bought a blue 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 700 with only 1,800 miles and 215 hours. Super excited about it! Haven’t looked at the air filter yet on mine but would you recommend this K&N filter setup for it?
@MrGunner945

The K&N filter has worked great for me. I like the ability to wash, oil and reuse! There are some varying opinions as to whether or not oil from the filter is sucked into the engine but I have never had any issues.

Mine is a residential model. I have owned it for 7 years now. Still running the same belts, no mechanical issues. Deck is solid as ever. The only thing that has happened is just the other day, I was mowing and the drive belt tensioner spring had come loose due to the locking nut somehow working its way loose, first time in 7 years this has happened. Tightened it up and kept going. If I needed to buy a new mower today, I would definitely buy another Bad Boy!

FRAM makes a filter for it for about 5 bucks. As much as many people argue, it is the correct size, has the notches for an oil filter wrench, and has a BETTER micron rating than the expensive kohler brand. I also change the filter and oil every season which is sooner than 100 hours after first oil change. It is an EXCELLENT mower. The mz magnum (48” or 54”) is awesome for residential. The 42” has a crappy seat.

How’s yours running and holding up? I’m considering buying a 2008 with 2,500 miles and 362 hours for $5,800. I can’t touch a clean and decent one near my for under $5,000..this particular one says they had the valves adjusted.. is that something I should be concerned about? Or is that relatively normal for that amount of miles and hours?
@MrGunner945
@MrGunner945 5 месяцев назад
After 5 years the grizzly is still running great. I have been very impressed with this machine. Having been a life long Honda fan and owner, I was a little reluctant about buying a Yamaha but I can tell you, the grizzly has meet and exceeded my expectations. As for the valves, I have never adjusted mine and I don’t notice any chattering or unusual noises from the valves. Overall it has been a great machine, would definitely recommend buying one. I haven’t checked prices in my area but $5000 seems steep for that year range but perhaps they hold their value better than I realized.

I have this same style tire sold under the Ocelot brand name. Copies of the Maxxis big Horn. There's a bunch of companies selling them now. Great tires but you do need to pay attention to the tire composition. Some are real soft rubber & some are rock hard. All in all though, the tread pattern is a great all around/universal & very usable tire 👍👍

I've been running these same tires on my 50 inch trail RZR 800 for over a year now, and so far love them. My only complaint is like so many tires, they measure small in use. Aired up to max and off the vehicle they are right on. Regarding the ply rating, if you look at most atv tires, including the Maxis my RZR came with a decade plus ago have a lower actual number of plys than the "Rating" my maxis were 2 ply as well actual. I run at 6 PSI, sand, slickrock, mountain trails, some snow and limited amounts of muddy trails, but no mod bogging type use. They wear well, are reasonable on pavement, wander a little at speed on sand or gravel, and lock up great on rock. I generally cut up my tires pretty bad and fairly rapidly, removing chunks here and there and getting a lot of gashes. I've always had to replace my tires in under 2000 miles. So far these things are pristine looking. Best bang for the buck I've found by far,.

So if I’m looking for a 26” tire would you recommend I get a 27” sunf tire?
@jeffking6672
@jeffking6672 Год назад
@@jp1419 I couldn't say for sure how the 26 and 27 inch tires measure out. My new 25 inch tires mounted and on the machine measured approximately half of an inch less height than the Worn out Maxis tires I was removing. They were also labeled 25 inch. When new, my 25 inch sunf tires measure approximately 24.5 inches tall mounted and inflated to max sidewall pressure uninstalled. I purchased them a couple years ago, waited over a year to install and have been running them almost a year now, but the measurements were when new. Love the tires, but should have gone taller for my machine.

Good video. I was just needing to do my annual oil change on my Magnum. I am very happy with mine. Purchased in May 2020 (delayed a few months due to lockdown) and I have enjoyed it. I have 2.3 acres of pasture (we like to call it grass here in the country haha). I am about to replace my blades on my 54” deck. I just heard they are reversed threaded from a mechanic at the dealer. Wow, their maintenance manual should have that fact in bold. I purchased mine when I compared to John Deere and Cub Cadet. Well built machine. Great video!
@MrGunner945
@MrGunner945 Год назад
I’ve taken the blades off mine multiple times for sharpening and changing, the threads on mine are not reversed, not sure if they have changed it on recent models, mine is a 2017 model. I would definitely verify that through bad boy before allowing anyone to work on it, as I’m sure that would be an expensive repair if they stripped those threads. I am a little over 200 hours on mine and it runs as good as the first day I purchased it. I definitely would not hesitate to buy another Bad Boy in the future.

I'm 6'3" , 235 lbs . It just feels really small to me, so I had to pass and opted for the Kawasaki KLX300R. I'm not a beginner, but I'm starting over as it's been about 12 years since I've really rode anything and riding the CRF250F just didn't feel right. I used to ride 2 strokes so there's that, but I just couldn't get over the seat height being so low. I really wish Honda made something in 2023 to compete with the KLX 300R from kawasaki, but it just goes straight up to the 450s, and the 250R which is not a trail bike.
@MrGunner945
@MrGunner945 Год назад
seat height is definitely my only complaint with this dirt bike. I purchased a rear shock extender, adjustable ride height linkage and front fork extenders from hyperlitemoto.com. I also went with the Tusk fat bar, Ricky Carmichael high bend bars. All these mods can be seen on a recent video I made. They helped with the overall comfort of the bike/seat height.
