Definitely lower your PSI on all 4 tires. Tire manufacturers pressure ratings are bogus. Anywhere between 4-8 psi is plenty for Atv/ riding. You will increase your grip, your ride will be smoother and tires will tear up the terrain way better. 14 psi you will bounce around on everything and the tread isn’t able to do it’s job as well. I've been running these same tires on my 50 inch trail RZR 800 for over a year now, and so far love them. My only complaint is like so many tires, they measure small in use. Aired up to max and off the vehicle they are right on. Regarding the ply rating, if you look at most atv tires, including the Maxis my RZR came with a decade plus ago have a lower actual number of plys than the "Rating" my maxis were 2 ply as well actual. I run at 6 PSI, sand, slickrock, mountain trails, some snow and limited amounts of muddy trails, but no mod bogging type use. They wear well, are reasonable on pavement, wander a little at speed on sand or gravel, and lock up great on rock. I generally cut up my tires pretty bad and fairly rapidly, removing chunks here and there and getting a lot of gashes. I've always had to replace my tires in under 2000 miles. So far these things are pristine looking. Best bang for the buck I've found by far,.
@@jp1419 I couldn't say for sure how the 26 and 27 inch tires measure out. My new 25 inch tires mounted and on the machine measured approximately half of an inch less height than the Worn out Maxis tires I was removing. They were also labeled 25 inch. When new, my 25 inch sunf tires measure approximately 24.5 inches tall mounted and inflated to max sidewall pressure uninstalled. I purchased them a couple years ago, waited over a year to install and have been running them almost a year now, but the measurements were when new. Love the tires, but should have gone taller for my machine.
I had the same tire on my suzuki king quad 750 when I bought it. Tire psi was at 5psi. I had the same problem going down hills. I went with another tread pattern and no issues with the same hill and psi.
The only issue I had with these tire was on wet rock. They are too hard to grab wet rock. But other than that they are the best deal on an all around tire out there.
I ordered some 21x7-8 and they are much smaller really a 19.5x7-8 which was disappointing, even tho they are labeled on the side wall 21x7-8. Do your tires match the description on the sidewall? Other than that they seem good
Crazy . My maxxis bighorn 2.0 was absolutely amazing in everything mud snow. Rough rocks desert. U name it I tried it. In my punishment abuse handled it with no noticeable effects. No side slipping. So either buy these or the bighorn. U won't go wrong..for 100+ a tire really can't beat it.. I do believe the bighorn are 6ply..u can feel it. Just stating the facts. Otherwise I'm happy u are happy. I'm gonna run the sunf..on a project just wondering if they compare to the bighorns. I'm guessing they do..thanks..
I have not owned a set of bighorns but from what I understand the Sunf are a knock off of the bighorn brand, same design etc. the Sunf are marketed as being 6 ply but they are actually 2 ply with a 6 ply toughness something like that. The Sunf tires have worked great for me.
@@MrGunner945 Yes sunf are 2ply. I see alot of folks on here saying they are 6 ply but they are just rated as 6 ply which is really dishonest by the manufacturer!!! Still a good bang for the price!
have you ran a little lower psi?? maybe the slide issue may not be as bad. Im gonna give these a go and order some 30x10x14’s for my RZR. Nice honest review I appreciate it
I’m going to try running them at a lower psi and see if that helps, hopefully it will. 14psi is what the manufacturer recommends for operation but, that definitely seems to high, seeing other brands only recommend 5 or 6psi.
Just got my son a Kawasaki bayou 220..would these be good for us riding around the yard just having fun. Not doing any mudding just need a new tire and it's been a pain trying to find a decent tire. Been seeing good things about these. There are a set of itp mud lites on it now but they're older and need to be replaced. I gotta check the size but when I look up mud lites 22x10-10 I (the size I need) I can't seem to find any in that size so I decided to go with something different and not so mud aggresive since I dont really need mudders just a good all terrain tire. Thanks!
These tires will be just fine for riding around the yard. I had a set of itp mudlites and they would tear the yard up, these Sunf tires do not rip up the yard unless you want them to lol.

For the money the tires are great. I have had no issues with them at all. They hold there own in the mud, not the greatest but certainly not the worse. Simple put they are a great all terrain tire. Only concern I’ve had with the tires and it could be my machine (they may not do this on other quads) but when riding on slopes they tend to want to slide, lower air pressure doesn’t seem to make a difference. I think it has to do with the shape of the tire being more square than circular, if that makes sense. When I do buy new tires I’ll probably move up to the ITP Mudlite XL’s. My brother has them on his two wheel drive rancher and he can creep along any slope, slippery or not with very little issues, also they seem to be a better mud tire. But overall for the price it’s hard to beat the sunf tires.
Someone had mentioned that it was only 2ply with a 6ply rating. I did look into and found that to be true. I’ve tried to find where i confirmed that but am not having any luck. Regardless, the tires are great. I’ve not had any punctures or other issues with the tires.
Today's tires often go by a ply "rating" rather than the actual number of plies, which basically means they act like and are ss tough as their ply rating, due to maybe tougher plies or whatnot. Depending on construction you could easily have a 2 ply tire outperform an 8 ply tire for puncture resistance... If you pay attention they are advertised as "6 ply rated"...
