Hey there, Im Matt, and on my channel I do a variety of different gaming related videos, but mostly Pokemon Glitch videos, and every glitch video I do is done without the use of a game shark or other hacking tools.
I would save the other trainers too because you can get other Pokemon too. You can also get a second Mew in the gym too. Recommend saving the game before trying to walk and hit save.
I remember duplicating stuff as a kid and I would NOT have been smart enough to figure this shit out.. surely there's another way that has been lost to time
Hey if I'm really far in the game..like I've completed the game and have several boxes stuff Pokemon, items, etc: Is this safe? Is there too much data that can't be saved in time? Or is it like..only the poke box is what is saved and the other game data is untouched?
I bought gold and I'm building two teams that can link battle with the cable (i have two gameboys as well) I'm trying to duplicate rare candies, tms, and battle items so that both teams have options. But I would hate to destroy my game file. I've completed both games and my mon are all level 61 on both games. On Crystal I have two teams of lvl 61 and would liketo build another team for gold but it's really grindy.
I doubt you’ll read my comment If you or, anyone else can tell me how hard is it to do the save glitch because it’s also the same thing with the starters in Crystal and I wanna know if this is easy to do because I know how easy it is to do it on gold and silver
It’s pretty easy if you have a stopwatch with you. I used my phone for that and it worked 6/10 times I tried. It’s all about the timing, you may corrupt your PC box doing this but that can be fixed by catching a Pokémon and having it moved to the corrupt box
I’m late as heck for this but if it’s not working with the caterpies in Viridian, try doing the escape rope, then the Mt moon path event first, then look for a level 3 pidgey in the grass south of pewter (before you enter the building to viridian). Then as you would with the caterpie, use growl on it till nothing happens and kill it, then head directly into viridian, and this should spawn the lv1 nidoking
Is it harder to do the glitch on Crystal compared to Gold and silver if it is this is gonna be a lot of trouble when I do it with the starters and the odd eggs at the daycare in Crystal
This is wild. I wish I knew this before I got so far in the game, but I always try and beat all these trainers and I always miss out on the glitches. Super cool vid tho!
Ok so i know this video is old but just a warning. If you already did the trick to get the level 100 gengar (dying to the trainer in brocks gym) and try and use the escape rope again in front of the same trainer, you will no longer be able to open your start menu.
Step 1: Escape from long range trainer Step 2: Encounter lvl 4 caterpie and use growl on it 6 times at least, then kill it. Step 3: Get dragged over to the gym by the man who walks through walls. Step 4: Go to viridian forest and get jumped by a lvl 1 nidoking
Are you being careful not to give them too much exp? You need them to gain a small amount so it works. Best thing to do is switch in all your pokemon at least once in a battle so when the exp is split up among them your lvl 1 poke gets a smaller cut because of that
Yeah see took me 45 minutes to get 6 growls in before my pikachu got KOd and then I was just pissed because I got a lvl 2 when it leveled up. Didn’t know it needed to be a small amount of xp
