I think that the aim is not to fight with or get rid of your personality... but to lift the veil on it... and become aware of it... that is enough... we live in 3D and we need personality .... and limiting beliefs that come with it... :)
Elizabeth has a clear voice and even clearer message. Personally I could do without the slightly distracting music beds but the message still resonates.
People feel the need to talk & share so much because they seek connection, validation & belonging. There is nothing wrong with reaching out to or needing other people to help meet your needs. We are built for human connection, not toxic isolation & toxic independence. Social meda is not a healthy way of meeting those needs, but it's easiest & most comfortable & people tend to gravitate towards the things that are easiest & most comfortable
Dear Elizabeth. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. No need to apologize because even unedited, your videos are great. To be honest, I was surprised when I watched the video because I was expecting another exercise like most channels offer about how to remove limiting beliefs. Please correct me, if I understand well, your suggested approach is contrary to the general idea which is to challenge our beliefs. You deserve a much larger following.
You are welcome. My suggestion is always more awareness. Awareness brings clarity. Clarity brings peace and understanding both for yourself and others. Awareness is always the end goal for any spiritual practice. Challenge ALL beliefs through meditation. 🙏🏻
I've only spoken to my husband and our 2 daughters for years now. I know I talk to them way too much so I'm trying to figure out how to be quiet and stop interacting with them.
Personality and characteristics are just the visible paint on a canvas. Stop laying claim to any Names, Titles, and Labels and just Be. Ancient inscriptions of the One called the Messiah / Messenger showed and spoke of the teaching of just Being, I Am that I Am in the Here and Now. This is why all dogma religions can't name the Higher Source / God of all things, There is no Name-(nomen)....It just IS and it's Silence. Cheers!
In a society where your life is not valued, in a society where everything is about race, in a society where you’re tried convicted and sentenced to be homosexual, ( though you’re not), in a society where you’re labeled and life constantly threatened, though you have the experience and training, in suicide prevention and hostage negotiation but you’re labeled as an imposter, in a society where you’re labeled as crazy,you watch,ignore and keep silent, True story, as a police officer, I once had the unfortunate circumstance of cutting a 16 year old down from the rafters of his home( death by asphyxiation), you remember but it caused me to quietly and secretly study, I’ve been among the severely mentally challenged, but I wouldn’t give advice or opinion because it won’t matter.It is what it is.
Good morning: my million Dallas question is this, when last did you have a good sleep? When last did you awaken and not push your nose in other people’s business? When last did you awaken and listen to the quite voice within yourself first and not reach for the tv remote and listen to the latest news? when last did you go to bed without the radio or tv still playing? Are you more interested in watching he world and it’s affairs than yourself? when last did you have an individual thought and not the thought of others? Do you get my drift, answer those first, there’re others, then you can talk to me, believe me, everything else is completely irrelevant.
Do you not also think that self sabotage could actually be the universe showing you that the direction you "think" you want to go is not actually where you NEED to go at this time? Perhaps you're sabotaging a particular direction because there is a lesson (spiritual, philosophical or psychological) at the current stage that you are at that you need to learn to progress. And it often is not related to the thing you are sabotaging
sabotaging is like the universes final stand against your imposed "doing" onto it. Like the ocean bursting dams that have been created to build a "city" or "life" that you THINK you want, but is not truly for you
With current US-backed masacre going on in Palestine, it's difficult to have faith in this world and its future. Every day I see things turning to worse, sadly.
all my life i have found that by being a quiet person, people see me as weak! though i,am far from it,the only way i can describe it , is like being a lamb to the slaughter, no matter how hard I try to say nothing, it gets to a point were i have to defend myself, how many times do we have to turn the other cheek? even when i have been among people , and they have said something about me whilst i, m there , so called jokingly, because i'm quite , and the other people or person who is around , dosnt know me other than that i'm a quiet person, they have believed what the person was saying making a joke about me! how do i react to that ? i find myself on many occasion just not participating in conversation with colleges , i , find myself enjoying my own company far to much! well by socialists standards , i once had a friend say to me i was antisocial , in my mind I thought,where is the rule book saying you have to be social?why should i feel compelled to do something I dont want to do? do because society says it's how your supposed to live, i,ve gone of topic here, but i agree on a point by being silent and observing people, you can learn so much, but they learn very little about me as a person, other than i,am quiet person, which can be a very useful tool to have in today's world .

I want to make a small note here. Not everyone is trained to handle silence. Most people start thinking about a lot of negative stuff and ruminating when they are silent. To enjoy silence you have to be in complete peace with your mind. You shouldn't associate yourself with your thoughts and emotions. Practice this during meditation. Whatever thoughts you get just observe these thoughts without judgement. Don't label the thoughts as good or bad. Let the thoughts just flow. Just be aware. When you become an expert in doing this, you will notice that the frequency of thoughts will reduce. This is when you will truly experience the beauty of silence. It is Bliss. 😊
Silence heals. It's the best medicine to purify your soul and clear your mind. Thoughts and emotions are just illusions created by the mind. You aren't your thoughts and emotions. You aren't your body. You are pure consciousness and awareness
This practice and video is very scary and liberating in one moment of listening. I realized how programed. and conditioned I was by society and the world?
I started eliminating my oversharing habit about two years ago and it took about 6 months for it to feel natural. A major benefit I found is holding happy thoughts as private little treasures for yourself to enjoy, unsullied by others. For example, if it's a beautiful morning and you share that observation with someone, they might be in a bad mood and snap, "What's so beautiful about it!" Whereas if you keep it to yourself, you can simply absorb and appreciate the beauty of the present moment, undisturbed. Now pleasant thoughts run through my head for a majority of the day and it's easy to be happy!
