I don’t know if Lantana grows well there, but it’s good in the heat, drought tolerant and definitely spreads out without getting very tall. It also brings in butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.

That is a beautiful pot! Im a glorist so ive been doing this for years and had the exrbomus of all the xmas greens (scraps) that I would add to it. Also works with the dried pieces of your Christmas tree. Add some cedar from the backyar. Not sure of what significance of those added ingredients, but it smells amazing!
