I have my MTEL English 061 Test this Tuesday November 21, 2023. I have started watching this video today. After watching its first twenty minutes, I feel like I am going through each and every details provided on this video. Nurses working in public schools also have to take this test, eeeek!!! I dont understand why we have to take this test, as we are not teaching anything. Its compared to a teacher being asked to take the NCLEX, however your videos are very helpful.

Hello. Thank you very much for doing these videos!!!. They are most most helpful! I have subscribed to your channel and will be looking forward to learning from you. One constructive comment that is meant in the spirit of respect: If you are being sponsored by DESE/MTEL/Pearson or any other testing group, for integrity purposes you should be up front about it. Testing companies are making billions of dollars on the MTELS which do not prove a person's intelligence or ability to teach. I feel like they are hard and require a lot of effort. I am in my first year of teaching with an emergency credential. I am also applying to grad school, have a family, have aging parents and am a career changer. To have to spend a lot of time on this test which takes me away for more pertinent things (like lesson planning and being with my family) feels in-congruent from what I actually do in the classroom. I hate to think that my entry to grad school and becoming a teacher rely on passing these tests. If I were younger, it wouldn't be such a big deal. Again, this is meant in the spirit of deep respect.
