3x Emmy Award winning news photographer in Boston. Retired Woonsocket, RI firefighter. I cover breaking news primarily in Southern New England but I have also filmed fire departments around the country such as Detroit, Chicago, FDNY and Baltimore.
Why not grab the hydrant on the way in, instead of wasting time and manpower dragging the hose back to the hydrant? Why did they wait so long to advance hose lines into the building?
My step-dad and his buddy owned the Phoenix Mill before it burnt down! It was caused by a kid who was playing with Fire and ended up engulfing the building. He was also responsible for some other Mill Fire around the same time. My stepdad's buddy saved a part of the Mill, and still owns it to this day. The kid who started the fire got away with destroying a historical facility, which really pisses me off
Poor thing was so exhausted she couldn't get that big body up from being stuck in the mud. I have seen this happen. God bless all of the people involved in helping this horse.

Just a note. It's good recording but it's pointless to show the rising smoke or whatever is not related to the fire. The flag is very patriotic but provides no information. Always do your best to find a good angle and then use a tripod to secure the camera. That way everyone can see what progress is made.
Sadly this fire was beyond saving much on arrival. My experience tells me when faced with this situation use available tank water to stop the spread of exterior ground fire then once there is sufficient water supply from tanker shuttle or firefighters can extinguish what is left.
ohhh very interesting!! watching it for the first time 🎉 it kinda similar to panjat pinang, but panjat pinang is in vertical.. this one looks safer! which is great!!
Two of my brothers a big rig drivers. This is what worries me the most with them on the road. Especially with all the idiot drivers out there today ... acting entitled and driving like they're on the roads alone.
