Northbridge firefighters got toned out for a reported house fire at this home on Providence Rd. around noon. Upon arrival, smoke was visible from the 2nd floor and eves. A 2nd alarm was transmitted.
Companies made an interior attack and found fire on the 2nd floor extending into the attic. With backup lines deployed and quick ventilation of the roof, firefighters were able to knock down and contain the fire within 20 minutes. The fire was brought under control in about a half hour.
No injuries were reported.
