I will never understand how they never wanted to go the route of a time skip where Helen and Bob are grandparents and the kids are now young adults with their own families. Its so much better as a concept
I will say, as a kid, bob and Helen’s fight was something I remember being genuinely upsetting, frightening even. I didn’t remember that till hearing Helen shout gave reminded me of just how strange and scary it was as a kid to see two adults legitimately angry at each other like that.
Season 11 visually is AWFUL beyond words. Did not miss tree-lined tracks and the urine yellow hue. At least The Great Discovery was one hell of a swansong, maybe combinewith season 11 in a mega review?
just wanna let you know and anyone who is reading this that you are great and Jesus loves you, repent before its too late thats all.. Thank you dont give up :D <3
I'm from Greece 🇬🇷. I don't know why but here in Greece, the names of the characters were changed, for the first seasons at least. For example, for us, Gordon was named Jonny. I don't know why tho...(Thomas's name wasn't changed)
Yea, the engines running with no rolling stock behind them was very strange. I don't why they did that, like they're engines that pull trains, that's what they do. Engines don't run with nothing behind them unless they're retrieving rolling stock, which is probably someone's headcanon.
Personally, I never wanted a time skip. I'm glad I got to see their fight against The Underminer. But, that's where I would have started changing the plot. In I2, the Parr family loses the fight, The Underminer gets away, and the insurance fascists get a heyday telling off Bob. And, The Underminer never shows up again. That's where I'd start changing things. A little background on me; I was a 90s kid, and I grew up watching Batman: TAS, Justice League, classic Superfriends, and other various DC animated universe stuff. So, most of my "this is what superheroes do" ideas come from there. Moving on... I'd make The Underminer the main villain of I2. He's played for laughs in the end of the first movie, but he could be made into a very serious threat if his war on peace and happiness is done seriously. The Underminer could get away during the first fight, and the insurance people could still try to argue against the interference from the Parr family, but have Bob and Helen actually make good arguments. Have Bob reference the fact that he used to work in insurance, so he knows that insurance claims get denied all too often, and that it's a literal maze of offices and paperwork to get anything approved. Helen could point out that the property damage done by villains could easily exceed the abilities of insurance companies to repay. Bob and Helen could both agree that the abilities and powers of supervillains exceed the ability of police departments or the military to defeat, especially without incurring heavier civilian casualties. I don't have time right now to say more.
I think that what would have made the end scene better where McQueen races Cruz was if there was a ghost of Doc Hudson racing next to McQueen to show that McQueen is Doc's successor.
fun fact: this movie taught me a bad word in spanish at a young age. i thought “pinchy” was pronounced “pinche.” got a little metal diesel 10 toy and called it “pinche” when i narrated my own stories.
I wouldn’t say Duke the lost engine was a bad but I would say it had potential for another book and yet we barley see him I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in another book after this but I’ve only seen pictures
54:15 as a cricketer I can tell you that a match ball can be anywhere up from $100 each (in modern money) so to lose a match ball back in the 30's would have been a substantial blow to a small club.
46:00 - 46:20 Man that fucking sucks. The original Incredibles was probably one of the most important movies for someone learning how to be a good parent for their family, and they end it off with a cash grab. If they ever decide to make a Incredibles 3, let's all hope that it will not make the same mistake as Incredibles 2. At least we have Incredibles 1, that will never cease to be a good inspiration for all of us in the most stressful points of our lives.
Why did the last 30 seconds make me cry. Frustration, anger, grief, I don't know. But the "Thomas comes home" part had me break down. He never came home, Mattel just sent him further and further away, changed him to the point that a lot of those who grew up with Thomas no longer recognise him as their comfort, but an object of corporate greed. Edward and Henry being treated so poorly breaks my damn heart. Edward is my favourite, he's many peoples favourite - and Mattel just tossed him out like... that. This video has pissed me off in a very productive way 😂. The fans are absolutely claiming Thomas and nursing it back to health, and I hope I can help in any way I can because I'm sick to death of these corporate entities milking Thomas for every last penny, and disrespecting all of the characters and source material in the process. Your videos are amazing, inspiring, and put into words everything that's wrong with Thomas then and now, because I don't want to go into such an important anniversary for the railway series and Thomas with nothing but a ... cartoon???? to show for it. Absolutely not.
