Morgan Scorpan My Thinkpad Crased and I Lost All My Favorites, I finally Have Got YOUR channel back Joy Hallahew! I am 74 Years Old Legally Blind & I live to Listen To Great Stories.. GOD BLESS YOU, DEAR LADY!!!!!!!
I always wondered why he still obsessed over her all those years later and how he knew where she lived with her husband and children. And how he knew that she was coming to London alone that da
Hey. Just posted another ASMR narration, this time of Poe's The Tell-tale Heart, if that would be something you would be interested in checking out. Hope all is well, hon. :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DcJMEa3pVVo.html
After reading the first comment, that people were unkind, I decided to listen. I think it is better to be an outsider. It is not the voice that counts, but how the story is narrated, then the story comes alive. Many of our best singers do not have the stereotype good voice. Many mocked Greg Marguerite, who was a great guy. The voice grows on you as you listen. It is in the passion. better to be an outsider like our friend H P Lovecraft. I am 7 mins in and it sounds great.
I watched the first season and it was fantastic. I’m taking my time with season two since that’s all there is right now. If I really want to see something good and I can’t find any good new movies or shows, an episode of 30 Coins comes to the rescue. Love both the heroes and the villains, especially Angelo. He’s just so charismatically, piercingly malevolent. And I’m sure I don’t need to point out what Lovecraft figure he looks like in the last episode of season one. 😉 Thanks for telling us about this show, and if you were to make other recommendations about shows, movies, books, whatever, that would not suck.
Cool - I might try whisper narration myself, interesting effect. The description of the rooms always reminds me of Giallo films - I can imagine a film version directed by D'argento or someone like him. :)
@@MorganScorpion Yes, that's certainly true. I've been wanting to try something in the vein of ASMR for a while though, so I may give it a go - would have to be something short and something I'm not going to get struck for (had to take down my narration of Who Goes There recently, by John W. Campbell - his estate filed a claim with RU-vid). I'll see what I can find, it would have to be the right thing, I think. Hope all is well. :)
@@MorganScorpion Hey. For what its worth, I tried a bit of whisper narration myself today, if you want to check it out I'll leave the link. Hope all is well. :) x ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BsZrUiNoBko.html
Your reading of Technicolour, by John Langan is one of my favorites.......it really enhanced my appreciation for this story in general and this asmr reading in particular, thank you for uploading this!
Arg I finally get to see an interview live and then I have to run off halfway through. Like I said in chat I’m home sick… I won’t go into detail. Good interview though.
Hi Morgan. I was struck by Mr. Tessier saying that the movie, Them, was the first movie that really scared him. Me too! I saw it in increments during middle school lunch hours. The fact that it was black and white made it scarier, and I still think of it as a classic and very scary. 😱
Constructive criticism: too many kinda glottal stops and hard esses in the reading for my taste, a bit too emphatic staccato, but... Still one of the best I've heard, and appropriate to the subject. (I find 'The Outsider' along with 'The Rats in the Walls' and 'The Haunter in the Dark..' to be HPL's best, imho, of course.) Bottom line is that I fell asleep to this reading. Who knew that 'The Outsider' could be ASMR?
Thank you! Interesting. I grew up with a Devonshire accent which includes the glottal stop. I thought I'd lost that trait, but it seems it emerges when I whisper.
@@MorganScorpion Oh that makes sense! Now I see (hear) it.... But- could you do 'The Hound'- I think that rally fits your style (or maybe that's just because it's one of my fav HPL stories). I read it in a book of short stories that I stumbled on when I was maybe 11 years old... that and 'The Rats in the Walls'- I didn't sleep for days, and hearing that whispered... Yikes. 😬 Anyway, Cheers! Edit- I just got that those stories are all about alienation, fig and lit. Ha! I learn something every day.
@@MorganScorpion Yeah, I just listened ...thanks for the nightmares. (Lol, j/k- it was good though.) Edit- actually it was your reading of 'The Dreams in the Witch House's that I just finished. Very good.
@@bholdr----0Morgan did the best recording of “Dreams from the Witch House “. It’s my third favourite story by HPL, the Whisperer in Darkness is my favourite and Haunter of the Dark being second 👍…I always get this one mixed up with The Outsider
