Radian is difficult to watch. I get so uncomfortable every time he does his totally unnecessary hostility thing. He's just determined to create every mishap and inconvenience. I would be so legit mad at him if I was playing with him.
2wks behind!!!! But so worth the wait…❤🎉 It takes me a bit to listen through a whole episode, a few minutes here and there along with (2-3 hours, finished episode 13- OMG!!!) And had to start this one… one day I’ll catch up…
I though the thing with the ranged weapons was if your under the first number for distance, or past the last number it's at disadvantage and the in-between is the flat roll, but I could be very very wrong
The progress of mechanical comprehension is, frankly, refreshing with the newbies in this group. I can not avoid being frustrated by players who, after a significant time in game, still seem oblivious to core mechanics of their game broadly, or their character individually. One quite popular, and entertaining, actual-play group that comes to mind, still needs to have the mechanics of "holding an action" explained to them, after literally 500+ hours at the table. That simply drives me nuts, for any players, but especially ones who are essentially professionally employed for a decade, as role-players. I appreciate people putting effort into the role-play aspects, of course, but it is also important to make an effort to learn the rules that enable the world to exist, because without the framework of the rules, there is no game. No one has ever repeatedly played football, on the pitch or on video game, and just never cared about how "offsides" works - Well, other than Americans, perhaps.
I got the feeling some bad investigation rolls at the end left the party guessing for what was the purpose of this session, apart from being nice to someone. Hard to roleplay where to go next from here I can imagine! Though having some time between sessions should freshen everyone up with new ideas

I love how all your characters are so unique and bring so many special flavours to the story. And Harry's storytelling and impersonating all the NPCs is also absolute perfection. Thank you for sharing your amazing adventures with us and wish you all a very lovely day.
The way Raiden describes his emotional memory without the literal memory is SO similar to how I feel with all my repressed memories... I SO GET what he's describing!!!
I absolutely love the goofy ways that you start the SHOW.Because that's part of what makes it feel authentically like a home game despite its high production standards
Alex & Harry -- The comment I, me myself, made about I's, the Kobold not the me, second attack in the most excellent God Killers episode was because he missed Morgan with his main hand attack, and hit him for one point with his off-hand attack. Since sneak attack is once per turn, even though he's not adding his Dex modifier to the damage (no Two Weapon fighting style), he *would* receive his sneak attack dice. He would also receive his sneak attack dice on a Reaction attack (such as from an attack of opportunity, Battle Master "riposte" or "brace" maneuvers) during another character's turn, allowing him to sneak attack twice in a round (still once per /turn/). Also, you mentioned a few times in this episode that Alex shouldn't add his Proficiency Bonus to his dagger attacks. He does add it according to the 2014 rules. He attacks as normal with a proficient weapon, but doesn't add his Dex modifier to damage unless he has Two Weapon Fighting Style. The main reason for a rogue to fight with two weapons is to get that second chance for sneak attack should they miss with their first attack. Great episode as always! See you in Action Surge next week!
Regarding Radian's Hypnotic Gaze, while failing the save means the effect only lasts until the end of his next turn, there's nothing stopping Ben to use his _next_ action to maintain the effect, _indefinitely_ 🙂
@@cornishbluebird Yeah, the ability's power is balanced by immediately dropping if the character leaves the 5ft range from the target and, Indeed, as soon as it takes damage. Still, for the price of freezing yourself & the target out of the action, you can set up a very damaging pile on. :)
