You are gonna need a really strong light to keep the swampys alive indoors, the roots will probably fill the tank fast.But Its a great idea, and got me thinking of planting some swampys in the bottom of the tank to create a flooded forest scape to be kept outside on my bonsai bench.
Looks great and always a treat to have an hour long video waiting to relax with after work! Love the bonsais curious to see how they grow out. I have a tank with two small ficus ginseng tree on rocks on top that I just keep trimming so it stays looking in proportion but this looks a lot more professional lol. The ficus love their roots in the water as well by the way.
wow what a scape. love the bonsai and waterfalls. great work Adrian. my 2nd favorite tank in your room now, just behind the bowfront buce kingdom. if i could make that i would have left the top alone 100% how you have it, but underwater would have a life savings worth of buce on every cm of the rock. i would put my chilli rasboras in it. inspired me to think about trying to add a bonsai or something out the top of my next tank or rescape. i guess im going to go over and watch duthies video now. have a good one.

How do you collect the Cory eggs off the gIass and plants in the tank? I tried a credit card which was ok, and my finger nail which worked better for me. My Venezuelan Red Sails spawned for the first time last week. I don’t think the eggs were fertile as they didn’t look it and I had none hatch. I had them in a breeder box in the tank with an air stone and tossed some moss in with the eggs. It was the first time so and they surprised me as they spawned with just a small water change. I plan to try again as I would love to get a few babies. Do you spawn the Venezuelan Black Cory’s the same way? I have some of them in another tank that are getting up to breeding age. I haven’t tried to spawn them either. This is a great video. Your videos never disappoint. I don’t always get to watch them as soon as they come out, but I always do watch them eventually. Thank you! When you showed your crab, at first I thought it was a fake plastic crab. That crab is stunning. I love the purplish color.
Thanks so much for the cool message and yeah, the crabs are awesome. I’m about to do a new video moving them to another tank as well. I definitely breed the black car is the same way and always use my finger to roll the eggs off and I do show that in the video as well. No, I don’t need heaters in all of my tanks, I have two 300 W heaters in each of my sumps and that’s enough heat the room usually. If I do need extra heat in the middle of winter, I have a diesel fired caravan heater installed for those really cold nights.🙏❤️🐶🇦🇺🦘
I love cories. They have such fun, friendly personalities. (They're a bitch to catch by hand in a heavily planted tank, surprisingly...) I've got some Venezuelans which I'm about the move to a 75 gallon project when it gets set up & then add some pygmy cories to the current 20g tank. ^^

Im having an issue with my false juliis. I purchased some from 3 different stores & keep having same issue. About half turn very pale & die off within 1 day to 2 wks of purchase. Ive treated for several things to no avail. I read about self poisoning from stress & wonder if this is whats happening. It does not seem contagious as no other species were affected. Endlers, pygmys, glass cats, & otos. U seem well educated on corys & i wonder if u have experienced this ever or heard or this happening. My water parameters are on point. Temp is down at 75. I have plenty of plants & driftwood for cover & soft sand substrate for them to sift thru. If anyone has any advice im all ears & much appreciated ❤
Hmmmm that does sound like a problem. I would suggest starting from scratch with a new tank just for the corridor as a species only tank and set it up as minimal and natural as possible, and see how that goes as a test case. Good luck with that, and on the bright side, my solution provides you with another tank. LOL You could try another species in your current tank like sterbais… tough little guys. 🙏❤️🇦🇺🐶👍🏻
I bred Fire Red Apistos a few years ago, and they were an absolute joy to work with. I can’t wait to work with them again! Your video gave me a lot of inspiration for planning their next aquascape. When you have a more natural setup like the top tank, what is your strategy for pulling the eggs? Or do you let the parents take care of them?
That’s so cool. The fire reds are fantastic fish. I always try and leave the babies with the parents as it’s way less work for me and provides them the job of being good parents and teaching their offspring. I’m so pleased that you like our content, thank you very much for your support.🙏👍🏻❤️🇦🇺🐶🦘

I noticed your Brine Shrimp Hatchery in the background. Could you do a comprehensive video on it including where you get the eggs and brand, how you set up the water (salt type and amount, baking soda if used etc), how you store your unused eggs etc. Do you use a heater etc? I've tried hatching eggs by using an inverted soft drink bottle in a fish tank to keep temperature stable and using evaporated sea salt and having an air line, but I never seem to have any success. So I don't know if it's the eggs, my water, not using a light constantly (some videos say only to use a light to harvest). Would appreciate seeing how you do yours. Thanks
@@AdriansFishroom Thanks. I've just recently bought the "Hobby Artemia" hatchery (circular one with lid and scoop in middle) and tried 2 lots of eggs I had in my fridge with no luck.
I work more on ages of the fish… some start at 12mths and others like cw27 take a few years… Adolfoi around 18mths. So there is a range between different species I’ve found. 🙏❤️🇦🇺🐶💪🏻
❓ at 3:52 into the video you show some rainbows, what's the name of the 1 to the far left of the screen ? I believe the 2 on the outside are the same, they have a yellow ish tail and some have an orange/red ish tail.. if they are what I think they are sold as Australian here in the states.
@@AdriansFishroom oh ok so same same. I like those and have 3 myself. It's actually the very first rainbows I got and I'm hoping I have male n female and they breed.
