i'm about to buy this nice bb pistol, how many shots can you fire before the blowback becomes too weak? do you think a longer barrel (hidden by a fake silencer) could increase the V0? i guess so...
@0XAN Hello buddy I'm getting roughly 8 magazines worth of shots from 1 Co2 bulb with the power starting to decrease on the last 3 magazines but the type of ammo you use may cause different results. With increasing the power a longer barrel should increase the power very slightly but you would have to take into consideration the maximum barrel length formula. Also things such as temperature, humidity and if your shooting indoors or outside will have an impact on power. If you are in the UK please take into consideration the maximum power regulations by uk law. I hope this helps buddy and happy plinking.
That was my first ever air gun. I was given it by a family friend of my Dad’s, though to this day I don’t know if my Dad was aware he had given it to me until some weeks later. My school was starting an after school air pistol/rifle shooting activity in the summer evenings. I was 10 or 11 at the time, so this was back in the late ‘70s, and got into a little bit of trouble as I had carried it around in my bag for the whole day before the evenings session. I didn’t ever get it out though, so I thought it a bit unfair. After that I had to leave it with the school head master, “safely in his office”. Ironic in that I don’t really remember ever going to more than one of those evening sessions, it would have been kept in the head’s office until the end of term, and I sure as hell never got my pistol back. I suspect that the head had had a word with my father, at the end of the term, to inform him that it would need to be given to him in person, rather than allowing his son to carry it home by myself. I have no idea what the U.K. law was way back then, or even if there was one covering air weapons? Anyone know? Anyway, I suspect my Dad would have told the head master to just keep it as, knowing my Dad (he walked with callipers and a stick back then, would always only pick me up from school around 6.30-7.00 p.m. on his way home from work, and he hates guns of any kind) it would have been too much hassle to have to park the car up and then make his way into the school etc etc. So I never saw that pistol again. It wasn’t until a few years later that I remembered that I’d never got it back, which was too late as I’d left the school, and there was a new head master. I found it the most difficult pistol to cock. I seem to remember loading as by unscrewing a long rod from the back somewhere, inserting the pellet, then screwing it back in. Then, when the trigger was pulled, the whole pistol would jump violently. I don’t remember ever hitting any target I aimed at and really would have preferred a springer rifle like all my friends had. Oh well.
@TheBionicGolfer Hello buddy, this was also one of my very first air pistols as a youngster. They fire pellets, darts, and corks but like you mentioned they are not very accurate you probably had more chance of hitting the target by throwing it at them. If I remember correctly somewhere like argos or woolworths used to sell them back in the 80s.
Hello Have you completely disassembled it cleaned and lubed everything ? Sometimes a good clean and lubrication is all that's needed. Next check the front plastic barrel retaining pin is the correct one for example if you stripped it all down for cleaning did you fit the correct pins if it's a thinner one it could be slipping out and jamming the top slide also check that the hole isn't warped can you wiggle that barrel section ? Next check the silver trigger bar on the right is it all sitting flush and moving freely make sure as you pull the trigger nothing is causing it to kick out. I would also check the top slide it's possible the top slide may have been squeezed in and bent a little.
@bingobango7734 , im SO in love with the PPK/S , please watch the youtube video and make a BETTER tutorial how we can do this mod search youtube title umarex makarov co2 power and trigger mod. did you think we can import this mod to the Umarex Walther ppk/s ?
@bingobango7734 Ahhh man... FINALLY !! After +1year of waiting your next tutorial. Man you definitelly should make MORE of them and please , P-L-E-A-S-E make a full dissasembly/reassembly of both COLT Single Action (Umarex) and 1911 (KWC/Cybergun) BOTH are MUST have in any airgun collection and despite plenty of video on them on youtube , most of theses are ALL BLURRY and not professionally done like the ones you make. please man...
Hello thanks for the comment buddy really appreciate it the next one I'm doing is on a colt 1911 by gletcher I will need to get hold of a single action colt

All in All please try to make more videos like that and ...maybe even start something new on your channel with test shootings and before/after mods or something related to airguns , every one would like that ! have a nice one Bingobango , will wait for your next video :)
Hi buddy Sorry for the late reply thank you so so much for the kind kind comments it really does mean a lot I'm hoping to get back at it all over this upcoming year the colt 1911 will be my next video.
@@bingobango7734 will wait for this. just dont forget to title your video : KWC CYBERGUN GLETCHER COLT 1911 Co2 DISASSEMBLY video in order to reach most people and get thumbs up as possible ;)
@Dan-Commando That's a great idea buddy only trouble is the 3 1911s I have are all completely different internally but those would each have transferable disassembly methods. So maybe find which brands cover the same build of each one and add that into the title 🤔
Hello thank you i appreciate it bud how do you find the 19s I've got a gen 3 and gen 4 glock 17 out of the 2 I'd have to say the gen 4 is my favourite.
Hello Unfortunately I've not taken the hammer assembly apart myself yet as I haven't had an issue with mine but it sounds like you may possibly have one of the springs situated in a wrong location or may even need to flip it over. I would disassemble again and double check the springs are all situated correctly. If you google the exploded diagrams hopefully you will see where everything sits when put back together. Good luck with it and please let us know if you managed to resolve this issue.
mine gets stuck everytime it's in a cocked position. i have no idea why, it functions normally when testing if i put it together correctly but the moment the hammer is cocked back pulling the trigger does nothing
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. It could be a number of issues firstly does it sound like anything is leaking it may just need a few drops of oil on the seals or even replacing them. Does the valve piercing pin have any damage does the opening look restricted? And inside the valve is a mesh washer this may be clogged and need a clean. I would strip the valve and clean everything while checking for damage it would be an idea to purchase the valve seals in advance so you can swap out if needed. Let us know what you find good luck with it all.
@@bingobango7734 Hi thanks for the reply, no leaks, I left the co2 in for a week and no loss. I will do as suggested and take the valve apart it’s probably clogged up.
@GSwton ok so no leaks which is good I wouldn't leave the co2 bulbs in when not using the pistol as this can damage the seals. Go careful trying to remove the mesh washer sometimes it will just drop out freely and other times it needs to be shaken out. Good luck I hope you can get it running again let us know what you find.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. OK have you cleaned and oiled it as sometimes this is all that's needed. Then I would look at the sears for any damage if you check out my skiff video I do a repair on one that was for locking the mag in place. I would check around the hopper screw and top slide make sure no rough parts are sticking out causing a jam. Let us know what you find and I hope you can get it sorted 👍
Thank you so much for this detailed instruction video. I stripped my PPK to re-finish it and was really struggling with the sear and sear spring placement. Thanks to you my gun is up and running again.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. Thank you so much I really appreciate the kind comments I'm glad this video is helpful.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. I would like to help but really only make these videos to try and help people repair themselves. I really wouldn't feel comfortable tinkering with something that wasn't mine sorry buddy but maybe we could figure out how to get your one repaired.
@@bingobango7734 i got it broken tbh it was jammed I’m not a expert like you wouldn’t know where to start I will give it another look maybe try and dissemble it
@lionmoet5841 Ahh OK double check the top slide isn't bent like mine was its a very thin alloy and possible to dent inwards by just squeezing on hard when pulling back another possible reason could be a jammed sear or loose bb
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. I did find some similar information online some have the screw and others don't but if memory serves me correctly it should still have the threaded hole for one and possibly a airsoft one might fit but I haven't tried this.
Umarex removed the hop up system of new made air pistols. So stupid decision. I added a little bit cardboard on the hop up rubber, so it push down the rubber give the BBs a spin.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. If you have a version like mine with the hop up dail this back and then dail back in testing after a few shots. I'd look at the end of the barrel for any damage or if it needs cleaning. Also does it sound like anything is leaking?
Thanks for the video I just got gifted a a3000 . I think the seal is gone as its losing co2 managed to find a replacment on eBay as I dont think they manufacture these now . Is it quite easy to do ? Also can I buy the tool that you used to unscrew the valve .thanks great video fingers crossed ill get it up and running 😁
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. It is quite straightforward as the parts just have to be unscrewed. The o rings and seals a chap on ebay was selling. Make sure the o ring is suitable for co2. I will be doing a video when back at it as mine has started to leak . you can buy tools for the job or even use a large flat head screwdriver but be careful not to damage the co2 piecing pin or any threads. Good luck with your repair buddy 👍
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. You can try a few drops of pellgun oil on the seals. I would then check that the frame hasn't bent open like mine from the previous owner over tightening the bulb pusher. If still leaking I would then replace the valve seals and o-rings. Make sure the o-rings are suitable for co2 Hope you get it fixed buddy 👍

Hi great video. I need to replace the seals in mine and after taking it apart noticed the guide rod missing. Is this an important part for its operation or can it still be used without it. if so do you know where I can source replacement parts Thanks
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. Bagnel and kirkwood, ebay and some umarex airsoft parts can be supplemented hope you can get it fixed buddy 👍
Hello Bingo Bango! Catchy nick by the way. Just wanted to thank you for putting up an awesome video. Its one of the more clearer and descriptive videos, that you explain in nice detail. I have had about 3 of these in the last 4 years, In short, because I love the gun, but also unfortunately because of Manufacturer defective problems. Hands down, it is the best replica out there, of the Glock generations and products that Umarex puts on the market. People don't buy this gen 4 for power, or accuracy for that matter. Nooooo, They buy it for its one to one, almost exact ratio, to its real live counterpart burner. Its as close as your going to get to the firearm. So in my experience, ppl buy this model to do drills, practice holstering, look appeal, and so on. Not for the FPS power, not for the mediocre at best, accuracy either. Most law enforcement and military personnel prefer the gen 4 for training. It can be tuned to give some decent plinking at around 10 ft. The Blowback, Wow, is incredible, but uses most of the air for recoil experience, and for that soft, precisive like trigger . Its trigger is nice, due to its not like the gen 3 which uses index finger effort to move the clumsy feeling mechanisms. Not the case with the gen 4. This gun is a beauty, its weight, & its feel ,is superb, which in my opinion is superior to its predecessors. It field strips exactly like the fire arm. The safety is the only thing that separates its look from the real deal. I give this Generation,... 5 starts, in the Replica department, but the reliability ,...3 stars, for things I mentioned above. Maybe some day, Umarex will fix the issues, but I doubt it. Changing out tool & die is far more exceedingly expensive, rather that 40 to 50% returns to deal with. Thanks Bingo Bango!!!!
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. I think you summed it all up spot on with a little tweak to the hop up these are an awesome plinker. Very snappy blowback and feel awesome tapping away at targets thank you for the awesome comments I really do appreciate it 😀
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. I will be putting up another video of a complete restoration of one, including how I make the leather washers for it hopefully it will help
This is super detail and it's appreciated but both the disassembly and the rebuild audio is recorded at VERY LOW volume. I have all settings for audio pegged to the max and I'm getting about half the words. The disassembly is CC but the rebuild is not, so I'm lost on that which is far more difficult a process. There is a lot of bass in the audio too which makes it tough to understand as well.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. Thank you for the useful information I will try sorting a Mic and better lighting for future videos
@@bingobango7734 A Ultimate Mod allow you to make the walther look like the real steel version. The maker mention : " The PPK and the PPK/S are two different guns. But the PPK/S (which the replica is based on) is basically a Walther PP frame with a PPK slide which was done for some U.S requirement. I had the CO2 replica which I modded. Since it's a PP frame I was able to purchase reproduction PP grips and fitted them on to the air pistol which was a nightmare of a task with aligning the spring clip. I also chopped off the rear bottom corner of frame to make the extended magazine stand out more. To me it looks much better than the stock version."
I have a umarex glock 17 gen 4 177cal bb pistol and the hammer broke. I ordered a replacement but dk if I an capable of replacing it. Can you do a video on this please. I don't want to take it apart and do worse damage.
Hey have already replaced yours? I have the same problem and i think inside the magwell are these two metal things holding the hammer assembly in but this guy seems to have just brute forced the part out.
@@santerisuuri5139 I tried but I don't have the tools to do it. I ended up selling my slide and mag. I still have the new hammer and all other parts, just gonna sell the rest and get the umarex glock 17 gen 5 t4e .43 cal.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. I haven't had an issue with my hammer section yet and remember thinking if I was to take it apart I would firstly take a bunch of pictures showing where all the springs and sears were sitting. I'd then clamp it together and tap out the pins and slowly release the clamp it would be worth covering with a cloth to prevent the parts pinging off. Now putting back together is where I'd see the challenge as it looks like a few bits would have to be held in a position to clip it all back together. If I ever have a hammer issue I will definitely put up a video to try and help.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. Thank you for your comment buddy its helpful information I will try sorting a mic for future videos and possibly recording new audio over this.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. I believe the plastic cover replaced a metal version at one time which was after the exposed ones but I'm not 100% certain I have that the correct way round . All it does is seem to offer a slight bit of protection from the spring hitting against the outer barrel frame.
Hello sorry for the late reply I have been out of action for some time. Thanks for the useful information buddy I will sort a mic for upcoming videos and if possible record new audio over this one 😀 👍

I bought this Airgun. Yes Beatufil...but very low power 1.2- 1.3 joule and very very very low accuracy. If you read Umarex documents about this airgun: UMAREX in owner's manual wrote 130 m/s, in international catalog wrote 110 m/s and in website wrote 90 m/s. What is right? NOTHING It shots to 80/85 m/s with bb 0.35 g. Don't BUY IT. LOst MONEY. Don't BY UMAREX. #UMAREX never again! I don't undestand why buy this very bad airgun! Thanks a lot for the video. I do have bad experience with this model. First one I got second hand and returned back to the seller. Second one purchased new, but it is even worth than the first one. Spend most of the time not shooting but trying to fix it!
Hello buddy I'm sorry to hear you have been having problems with your one what are the issues you have been experiencing I am still trying to find a good lead bb for it I've tried the copper coated ones but they do get jammed every few shots
@@bingobango7734 Hello. Finally, after three days I managed to put the main (trigger) spring on its place and the gun is active for the moment. Not sure for how long. Concerning BBs - never had your problem. I use different ones: steel and copper coated. Prefer still - can use them several times (if found in my garden)!🤣
They can be fiddly to get the spring bar situated correctly the only reason I'm trying the lead bbs is because of it rifled barrel the steel bbs will work great but eventually will damage the inside of the barrel if you find ammo that works well with it please let me know buddy I'm glad you got yours working happy plinking
@@bingobango7734 I don't think you need to worry about the barrel. Nothing happens to it. Anyway, this is not sports target gun - it's just a replica model - suitable for plinking.
Please tell me if all parts of magazine are plastic except spring and maybe follower? Or maybe there are some steel inserts for durability? Is a little disappointment they made it of plastic :I I really want this blowback version but hesitate. But the gun itself is all steel? I mean all metal parts. Except grip and orings is all steel? And one more, did it fires straight from magazine? The blowback action only cock the hammer, or put the ball to the barrel before fires? And how about accuracy, is different or similar to the non blowback version?
Hi buddy the pistol itself is a similar steel body as the non blowback version unfortunately the blowback version has an all plastic magazine which is the only thing I'd change about it really the co2 cartridge loads into the grip unlike the non blowback magazine where it holds both bbs and the co2 the magazine the blowback works cocking the hammer back the trigger pull feels a lot lighter compared to the non blowback version
@@bingobango7734 Thank for fast reply! Comparison video is not necesary. I have the standard version. But thanks. It only curious me because the latch in magazine looks like separate part, which made me suspect it was steel. But no? Is the slide stay in back position after last shot?
Not a problem buddy The magazine release catch at the bottom of the grip is still metal but the slide catch release doesn't function so no locking back

Hello bud I believe the 2020 blowback ones are the first they have done I also have the non blowback version that still is my favourite out of them both I think the plastic magazine on the blowback ones let's it down a little it is still a great pistol
Brilliant... my ppks was doing the exact same thing with the canister tipping forward and gas just instantlyleaking... plastic had broken as well around the base as I had dropped it once.... never thought of looking at the metal frame flaring out.. it is being repaired under warranty at the minute.. wonder if they have spotted it .. I saw in some photos that inside the valve there is a metal sponge-like filter and if removed will give the gun more oomph...
Hi Anthony apologies for the late reply I’ve only just seen this it was a head scratcher at first I’ve managed to straighten the frame and I’m currently making a metal replacement for the plastic base cover that broke hopefully will have it sorted and a video up soon fingers crossed your one gets repaired and is back with you soon buddy 😁
Hello sorry for the late reply I’ve only just seen this comment I love both my blowback an non blowback Makarov pistols I wouldn’t say the blowback one is unreliable it’s just very easy to pull the trigger when the top slide is off causing the stuck hammer issues. the blowback version is good but I do prefer my non blowback one mainly because it has the bigger metal magazine the blowback version has a plastic stick magazine hope this helps 🙂
The very best and easiest way to release the slide and hammer is to feed a piece of paracord/strong string through the shell eject hole, then pull the cord ends through the gaps on each side of the hammer then pull back the slide as far as it goes and pull on the paracord/string at an angle so that it releases the hammer, make sure that your slide is pulled back while your releasing the hammer, this will definitely unjam your slide and hammer, no need for a vice, you might want to tie the other end of your paracord/string to a fixed handle/pole so that you can apply torque to the paracord/string while your slide is pulled back, hope this makes sense, I've just used this method and it worked fine without causing any issues and without scratching the pistol, I'll try to post a how to video of this if I get a chance, thanks
Hi bud this sounds like another great way of doing it I don’t know if it would have worked with my jammed slide it took all my body weight pushing down to get mine to release, It might have worked if I held it in a vice and pulled as hard as I could back on the top slide was your hammer stuck right up inside the slide in front of the firing pin like mine was ? 😁
@@bingobango7734 hello mate, yeah mine was seriouly stuck, I was very upset about it as I really baby my 'man toys' I thought that I could fire a few shots while the kids had gone to bed but I made the mistake of pulling back the slide and locking it without first pulling back the hammer, this caused the jam and several failed attempts to free it until I thought of the string method 😀
@@BenrokEarth It is easily done with these blowback ones and I couldn’t find any help videos online on how to fix it so once I had worked it out I did these couple of videos to hopefully help anyone that might have made the same mistake as me your way does sound like another great way of doing it you should pop up a video it all helps people out I know I’d have probably tried your technique
