Using command strips to attach bovedas to the inside of the door… GENIUS! I totally stole that idea, now have more room in my drawers! I have the same Needone with all drawers too. You should use the useless trays to organize your accessory shelves! Thanks for the video Sigamando👍

I purchased this Needone 48L. I set the unit for 71 degrees and let it run for 24 hours. I have five Govee hygrometers that I then salt calibrated in the unit in an airtight sealed container. Did an ambient air temperature check with ThermoPro unit and the internal temperature is defiantly off a degree to a degree and a half. Just turn it up or down. easy fix. After 12 hours, I calibrated the hygrometers via Bluetooth to the correct temperature and humidity and left them for another 12 hours. (Wanted to make sure equipment was working correctly.) I then distributed the units from the top shelf to the bottom of the unit. After 12 hours..... wow. Hygrometers at the top were 5 degrees higher in temp and 4% lower in RH from the bottom of the unit. Not acceptable. I then did the fan mod (with the exact fan) and taped up the hole at the bottom. Still no cigars, but 84% Bovida packs (seasoning) on the door as you have done. WHAT A CHANGE! Within minutes things had leveled out. After 24 hours, I am so pleased to say that from the very bottom to the top shelf I have a 0.5 degree swing and a 0.6 RH% swing. DAMN GOOD STUFF............. Thanks

Thank you for posting this video. I have a needone 33L humidor where the humidity gets really high (above 70RH with temp around 62/63. I have placed number of large 62RH boveda packs on each drawer but humidity does not come down. Will installing this fan help to bring down the humidity? I can’t return the humidor because it’s past 30 days. Need help open to suggestions. Thanks.
@frankdillon6127
@frankdillon6127 11 дней назад
just because your humidor is at a constant RH% that doesn't mean all the cigars are at that % on the inside. my thermidor is at 65% RH and the cigars test at about 56/7% RH. of course all cigars except RH different.

To be fair, it looks like the built in hygrometer is reading exactly 11% below what your digital & boveda pack are reading. That's technically workable

I see you are a aficionado of the leaf. I am a 2 year pipe smoker and was only smoking cigarillos up to 6 months ago. Then smoked a Hemingway short story, and then hooked. I just bought a humidor to hold my purchases. I just wish that cigars were sealed for aging like pipe tobacco, comes in a tin and put it in a cool dark place, and done for 2,5,10 years later, presto! 😂 I buy a lot of cigars off bidding places and hope I can get at a discount price. Thanks for the tour!

Ive smoked since I was 17 and you know how it is its tougher than drugs than anything to quit. Im only now cutting way back due to vaping. And cigarettes just are unappealing to me now and smell awful. Ive gotten into cigars because theyre so much more enjoyable, classy, and its not about puffing to get a fix on a cigarette. Cigarettes are a bitch.

I love this set up. I keep 2 in an old radio cabinet with glass in the door. It allows me to read the hygrometer in each tupperdor and keep an eye on them without fussing. When I want to to travel, I use a small one with cedar slices and toss my bovida in and head out. Best storage cigar hack!

Hey my man! Love your videos so far - I use tupperdors as well and almost every hygrometer I use always ranks 3-5% above the boveda pack. For example, boveda 62, will be 65-67 on hygrometer because its air-tight, is that normal? Would you still recommend calibrating the hygrometer back to 62RH while in an airtight tupperdor or would you be making the hygrometer inaccurate?

Hi, Have you noticed a difference in cigar taste/burn/quality, between cigars that stores in the thermoelectric (needone) vs cigars stores in tupperdor. if you can share your experience with us as a comparison btw the two storage methos would greatly appreciate it.

Neat trick with these tupperdores: Use the 360gram boveda pack on the lower tray along with a small cup of Distilled water. The pack will regulate the RH and recharge itself over time from the cup of water because of it's 2 way design. I have had a 360gram 65% in my Sistema humidor with 2 Spanish cedar trays for over a year now and it's still soft, supple and keeping the RH where I like it. Just top off the cup each time you burp if needed, it's really efficient and saves tons of money. I keep a 2nd Sistema setup at 62% for my daily smokes or getting ready to smoke sticks, same setup and works beautifully. I keep the Wooden cabinet humidor for my serious collections using Cigar Oasis humidifier as the Cabinet houses up to 500 sticks. P.S Remember just use the big 360gr Bovedas in these plus the water, really is simple as set and forget.

Curiouser. How does your NeedOne use 3 320 g packs per month even with a plugged hole? The humidity in Denvercis about the same as Phoenix.

Well my two 60 g Bovedas have lasted a long time. NeedOne hole left unplugged. Took until now for my Caliber IV to read 68%. Gars are 57%-62% with the humidimeter. Been trying g to f8gure out why my cigars got a uniform salty taste. Probably accelerated fermentation with the 40% full water box. Pulled out a Sherpa Black. Read 59%. Was salty at first. Smoke smelled like glue. Then the normal chocolate and spice profile kicked in. Smokecsmelled like regular combustion. Took this long to get ammonia? Out of gars. Unbelievable glue smell occurs. Got a Blackbird sampler from Neptune. First gars out salt and glue. W more like this. Then one bitter. One normal. The Crow. One undecided. NeedOne now has an ionizer in some models. Perhaps an ammonia extracter. For a while I thought someone got into my apt and smoked meth or crack. NeedOne needs an ammonia extracter. The sampler didn't spend a month in my humidor.

Also, one thing that people aren’t aware of on why people started using cedar wood is also because it’s a insect repellent type material. It’s not just for looks and smell friendly to humans.

Yes but for Cigars it must be Spanish Cedar, there is a difference. Regular cedar will work but is much stringer in smell and can cause issues with taste in your Cigars. Spanish Cedar only costs a small amount more usually at a similar price to Cedar, it also has a good Cedar smell but not as Strong as regular Cedar which is why it's the best in slot for humidors.
