Love your hacks. Im new to your channel and I’m enjoying it immensely especially when you incorporate your mum being of mature age myself. I’m pretty good with looking after clothes, but I’m not above learning more or new tricks, so a video on it would be appreciated. But as I’m retired now, I home so much more, and would love to see a video on dressing for home without looking frumpy.

Storm flap is the flap on the back, below the neck. Gun flap is the flap on the right part of the torso, and it must be only on the right because it was created to protect the gun of the soldiers which was hidden underneath their trench coat, in a holster. We still put the gun flap on trench coats out of respect to the original Burberry model, so it should be only one. Two gun flaps are a mistake that can be forgiven on a Chinese designer, not on a European.
Interesting history note! Thank you ❤ There is something that doesn’t fit in my head: most pple shoot with right hand, so it would make sense to keep the gun at left side for quick release… and you say that the flap always on the right side 🙃 How so?
Not always true. Depends on the colors used and the width of the strips. With this top, the dark thin stripes are muted and continue the dark of the under layers giving this a slimming and cohesive look.

I just thought of a question. I am brunette (okay grey but keep my hair colour) with fair skin and I know I suit high contrast and nothing wishy washy. You said not to use high contrast. I’m not sure now. I will take your point not to have black turtlenecks near my jaw line though.
