Wish you highlighted what's native and what's not. E.g. the water lettuce is super invasive in southern US and not recommended.

I put my bears Lime in too big of a pot 15-inch pot to a 24-inch. What happened? Major dieback. I pulled it out I had tons of little roots on top covering the entire 24” pot but not much big root growth.

This logic makes no sense. If you are putting a citrus tree/plant into a pot you MUST use the correct soil in the first place. The size doesn't matter one bit. As long as there is good drainage and you water correctly a bigger pot allows the plant to not root wrap and become too confined in a small container. Not to mention the stress from moving it multiple times. I always go with a 30 and up container with my fruit trees and they are doing amazing. Use the right soil. Do that research and save time, money, and effort. My Meyer is loving the cactus soil I gave it. I blend with multiple soils and it loves life. Even in the sweltering TX heat.

What a wonderful presentation. I can’t wait to start a small water garden on my porch where I love to spend time reading and sewing. I live however in the mountains so realize I may need to do some adjustments in the winter with the snow situation.

Thank you for the video, so grateful I came across this as I just bought a Lemon tree. I will go ahead and transplant it to a slightly bigger pot. My question is how long do I keep it in that pot before I replant it to a bigger pot? Thank you kindly for your help 🙏

Her advice is not accurate! The size of the pot doesn’t matter don’t listen to this fool! A good well draining soil formulated for citrus with fertilizer is the best bet. Go ahead and get that big gorgeous pot for yourself!

Don't waste your time/money. Put it in a big pot or the final size you want and put the correct soil in. They LOVE cactus soil since it is well draining. Toss that with some manure and good top soil and it will thrive! Mine has doubled in size in the past 3 months.

As many have said, the biggest mistake is using the wrong soil not the size of the pot. I go from 1 gallon to 15 gallon. Peat/or coco coir, sand or DG, Perlite. That's all, no organic material. Citrus grow amazingly fast in big pots

WRONG!!! Common misconception, tomato and tobacco hornworms do NOT turn into hummingbird moths. The larval form of Hemaris Diffinis(hummingbird moth) is categorized as a hornworm but does not feed on tomato plants or members of the nighthsade family. It is also different in appearance, lacking the diagonal and v shaped lines on it's sides that tomato and tobacco hornworms exhibit..

Got my mom Brazilian bellflowers and a wildflower patch so she can go on her occasional weekend trips without worrying about her hummingbirds went to a garden center to get bee balm and some agastache but they didn’t have any… I’m new at garden centers and I’m guessing they don’t sell pollinating plants because they don’t want bees flying around their customers?

Great video I get eaten by them horrible mosquitoes every summer, so I try not to go out at dusk. I did plant cat grass for my cats, but will try to add as much plants that you suggested and add mosquitoe bits to plants, our Lowe's and Home Depot don't carry that product, have to order it online.
