3rd hole is for your high beam. You'll need sendors to go with most of those gauges. Your cruise control won't work without the outboard speed sensor that comes with that dash. I'd reach out to Casper's or gbody parts for help. Fuel gauge is normal analog dash type.
I own a 1986 GN and 1970 Charger and I'm very fortunate that I've had both since before either car became so iconic and legendary. Your GN is very sweet.
Yo Whats the deal w the trans? I believe I remember saying to you to check the dipstick I went through multiple trans myself with my gn I have a spare I had so many issues... I think the dipstick seal which 3/4 mechanics missed was the problem.... Check your dipstick to see if the rubber seal by the handle is falling apart.... Also that cooler location Confirm with Dave.... I'd get it on the radiator bro. U need 1/4 npt threads by whatever hose size.
@@2muchBoost_ I recommend everything be flushed or replaced The lines to and from cooler. Obviously Dave will handle the trans. Maybe look into a 4l80 ? Crazy how a trans that's in new cars can still bolt up to our little v6 Keep boosting brother
Sorry man. Sounds like your torque converter lost all the clutch material and sent it through the trans. That's exactly what would happen and I've had it happen before. Do it right. Get her rebuilt with highest quality parts and new converter
Those 200R4 transmissions sucked if they are stock. I had a 84 GN back in the day and went thru 2 transmissions in 2 years. It was so bad I had to get ride of the car. It was my daily driver back in 1986 -1987.
It sucks the tranny broke but atleast it happened at home and didn't leave you stranded. My gn has been sitting on jack stands for 7 years and i just finally got mine back together and running. We look forward to seeing you get the car fixed and making more good videos.
We can feel your disappointment Bruh!! Older cars jus don't like to sit. I've been a diehard GN fan since '87. Before I retired from the military in 2012, I was gonna get one as a retirement gift for myself. ❤ One of my mentor's asked me do I really want to be in the garage wrestling with 25 year old technology and scarce parts after working maintenance on fighter jets for 24 years. He was right.. Them jets beat my body up over the years. He introduced me to 2nd gen cts-v. I ended buying a 2018 3rd gen cts-v. We out here rooting for you Bruh! You'll be back on the road soon, setbacks happen. 🙏🏾🫡
Had a second GN T top that I drove up to Woodward for the cruise, worked fine, the next year I sold to have funds for GN #1 A guy came to buy it, liked it, test drove it, bought it. Calls me an hour later saying he was in site of his home and the trans blew all its fluid out.
Damn bro I hate to see you have so many issues with your car. I have had like 5 of them and always end up selling them then missing it and buying another. I have a LS swapped g body now and not a single issue. I still want another turbo Buick but videos like make me think twice. I don’t know what it is but a turbo Buick just always have issues and that’s why you don’t see them on the road that often always somewhere broke down.
If I were you ide sell that Lemon is all you do is have problams with that dam thing and you don't even race it or beat on it and it still always breaking down. Sell it for 5 gran just to get some of your money back for all the times you run to the gas station before each video.
@2muchBoost_ hey buddy I like your videos I watch them all for real but it always seems like shits going wrong with your GN and I told you awhile ago that unless your a genious with these Turbo bucks don't bother trying to tune them bring it to a place like WATTS PERFORMANCE and them guys will make your car run better and faster then you ever could do yourself and you would have saved so much money not buying all the parts you did through the years and trying to do it yourself. I'm telling you it's the best possible way by far. I owned 2 87s one Gran National and 1 white T TYPE and I wish so bad I paid them guys at WATTS 10 to 15 gran and do my motor and Trans with there magic. The people that went to them are running 10s and 11s all day long and drive there cars constantly and running great all the time consistently. I probadly had 75 thousand dollars in my GN from buying the parts and having different mechanics that said they knew what they were doing and paying them also and never having my car run great and consistently. I could have went to WATTS Performance paid that money and bang on all the time cause they know these cars inside and out and all the tricks to get the best out of them. Watch there videos you'll see.
Fill the coolant up higher, add some to the overflow tank. Check your coolant temp on the scanmaster, It’s getting a reading from the computer, more accurate. When I changed over to the Fbody rad and dual spal fans. I eliminated the factory fan to turn on. I ran its own independent wires to a switch on the dash. This way I know the fans are always coming on and it’s always on high.
Don’t trust those gauges and fill the radiator and let the air bleed out the system. One of my fans stopped working today so my car got up to 183-193 typically I’m in the 164-178 range. Are your fans working correctly? Doesn’t Eric set his chips for the fan to kick on at 167?
You should have your tuner set the fans to come on at 165/ 170 degrees I believe the turbo tweek chips are pre set for fan/temp. And always test your thermostats before you put them in. Just put in a pot of water. Turn burner on with a cooking thermometer and see if it opens at the stated temp.
@@2muchBoost_ I'd plug the laptop in and see what that says That radiator has to be filled No air. Add the last quart or so at the expansion reservoir while its circulating... With the reservoir higher than the radiator obviously Then cap the reservoir and keep it up higher than the radiator as if it was connected to stock overflow bottle that u have filled with boost juice. We will get this figured out
Definitely needs more coolant Get the overflow bottle higher than the radiator... Pump is pumping thermostat is opening or you would be overheating with both or one of those being bad I'd check the computer And adjust the fans on temp I'd see what the computer is saying the temperature is at that time. The water temp could be 175/ 180 this whole time.
I just put a new thermostat in mine yesterday because those hose blew. And after I installed it. I filled it with antifreeze and let the car run with the cap off and mine didn't open til 212 degrees and my radiator was flowing just like yours. And immediately the temp dropped down to 157 after it opened. Basically had to burp the system.
You keep acting like your having trouble with your car so you don't have to take it to track and show us it's not a 10 second car and only 12 maybe 11s. Just bring the dam thing to the track I always ran my GN and T TPE even if it wasn't 100 percent, you baby that car like a girl.
