I don't have a scan master in my cts-v, but I battled a similar battery situation in my yukon. I changed the big 4 wires (+ batt to alt, - batt to ground, + batt to starter, + batt to fuse box. The ground wire from the starter was previously changed. I converted my side mount batt terminals to top mount using gold plated quick release connectors that had individual connections for the pos/neg accessory wires. I upgraded my battery to red top optima. I don't know if this will fix your situation, but it definitely won't make it worse.. 🙏🏾🫡
I believe that scanmaster is at fault. A charging system running should be 13.5 volts and when car is off will be 11 or 12 volts. For your spike in temp, you think you may have a air pocket in the system. Is there a bleeder screw for the coolant. I had that problem with a 408 that I built. I literally had to put the front on jack stands and feed coolant thru the upper radiator hose and while running top off the radiator with upper hose installed.
Ok We we will get this resolved I want you to have the parameters for the scan master out ... paperwork I'll dig mine out as well.. It is killing me knowing how bad it's killing u over stupid shit with this car.. My guess is the alternator is working But the bracket is painted and doesn't give u the. Proper ground... Crazy but it's true... The alternator wire that goes under the downpipe to alternator which is a horrible design could be a little worn out... Bleeding voltage... Could be the bracket... We will test
No its not if you have a high volume oil pump. Oil volume and pressure are two different things and inverse to each other. My car has a high volume oil pump and I see pressures at idle from 15 to 20 psi when it is hot. Been that way for years. No problems.
When u contact me tomorrow Pen paper... Have the scan master paperwork if you can bc my paperwork is the scan master version 2 not 3 like u have... I can download v 3 if.... Tuning time like I said... Let's get the basics and normal operating parameters perfect before u attempt to tune.... The air fuel ratio and fuel tables.
