Scout LT we would be Better of with An OTT & TTF apart and a flat screwhead . The combination of ott and ttf leads to 2 little points at the cross Line corner. While the band folds itself in the tff slid. The combination of the little tip and the folding inwards for sure leads to an accelerated wear of the band at that 'point'. I recommend a countersunk screwhead With internal hexagon, because the slid edges of the actual spherical screwheads are very Sharp , and leads to damaging the bands in no time. Thanks.l
Nope just a set of thin needle nose pliers. Thats why you need the wood to keep the pliers open when stretching the cuff. I have seen others use the pliers you mentioned however. Just a slightly different method.
I got them off of Amazon, they are listed as 3/4” buckles. @@SamuraiSamoht14 Thanks man! I like it. I was thinking about trying it. The majority of shooters I make are slot ttfs. I just fold the bands and stretch them then put in the slot. Your method looks like it could work for ott as well. Again thanks for the reply and information!
Tough to say... I think its what you get used to. Both will accommodate large hands though. Many guys with large hands like the smaller frames. Before you buy also check out the Pocket Predator website for some frames that fill the hand well.
Both are excellent but there are several differences. Scout LT has Flip Clips, Axiom Ocularis has the plugs; the grip on the Axiom Ocularis is designed more for a thumb brace grip, although you can manage pinch grip. Optional scales on the LT & optional handle weight. The LT frame is also smaller than the Axiom Ocularis.
grassblade2 Hey! Yes its Ocularis and the plugs fit tight with the bands in. The fit can be adjusted slightly if you need to by using the different size steel balls that come with the plugs.
Not overly. I'm looking for a Through The Frame. I do a bit of Frameless and cut my teeth on Overs'. It's between This Priddy thing here or the Hathcock sniper.
Fajar Setyawan Yes its very strong. I haven’t had any problems with the cuffs. For the last year I have been using GZK 1636 tubing and it has been very good.
Eagle Eye View Images I personally gravitate towards frames that give me a good pinch grip on it so the Beanflip offers that more than the Axiom Ocularis. That being said I do really like the Axiom Ocularis which does allow for a relaxed pinch grip or thumb support.
@@SamuraiSamoht14 so does the ocularis fill better in a pinch grip? Because the scout xt feels to big. In a pinch grip. I guess I am wondering what really is the difference. Other than the way ocularis mounts the band. Thanks for taking time to help me on this means a lot.
Eagle Eye View Images No problem at all! The Axiom Ocularis is definitely quite a bit slimmer than the Scout XT but its just as wide in the web section. Honestly if the Scout XT is too big then I recommend the Scout LT if you want a solid pinch grip. Check out my review on that one if you haven’t already :) .

I know I'm getting to the game a bit late (since it is now 2020), but I'd like to add that the Ocularis system, in addition to being superb for flat bands, is also a very secure platform for tubes --- both looped and single. Excellent review, Tom.
Good review! I bought the Scout LT, largely because of this review. SimpleShot makes really great slingshots. I also have the Scout XT and the Hammer. I prefer using the Scout LT scales with the available weight. Really gives it a balanced feel. :)
