The new Scout LT has finally arrived! simple-shot.com/slingshots/sc... Other slingshots shown: Scout XT simple-shot.com/slingshots/th... MS Hunter proshotcatapults.com/index.ph... Wasp Uniphoxx www.waspslingshots.co.uk/prod...
Good review! I bought the Scout LT, largely because of this review. SimpleShot makes really great slingshots. I also have the Scout XT and the Hammer. I prefer using the Scout LT scales with the available weight. Really gives it a balanced feel. :)
Just ordered mine today. Can't wait. Love my scout and your video really helped me see the differences to expect when I get it. Thank you for the info.
Thanks for a very informative, no-nonsense review. I need another slingshot like I need another wife (heaven forbid!), but I'm tempted... just a bit tempted... THWACK!
Scout LT we would be Better of with An OTT & TTF apart and a flat screwhead . The combination of ott and ttf leads to 2 little points at the cross Line corner. While the band folds itself in the tff slid. The combination of the little tip and the folding inwards for sure leads to an accelerated wear of the band at that 'point'. I recommend a countersunk screwhead With internal hexagon, because the slid edges of the actual spherical screwheads are very Sharp , and leads to damaging the bands in no time. Thanks.l
Tough to say... I think its what you get used to. Both will accommodate large hands though. Many guys with large hands like the smaller frames. Before you buy also check out the Pocket Predator website for some frames that fill the hand well.
Thanks for the overview. Does the palm-swell width feel significantly different to the OG? Always liked the first Scout but I did best with it using a pinch-grip, and that's just a little wide for my hand.
Thanks! The palm swell does feel different, less bulky, and that is mainly due to the low profile of the slingshot as a whole. However the palm swells sit in the same place on the hand. Sounds like the LT might fit your hand better if the other was too wide.
KalevalaSlingshot Thanks man! I like it a lot. Was shooting with it again yesterday and regularly hitting the 40mm spinner from 33ft. Im glad they added the small aiming dimp on the LT!
Both are excellent but there are several differences. Scout LT has Flip Clips, Axiom Ocularis has the plugs; the grip on the Axiom Ocularis is designed more for a thumb brace grip, although you can manage pinch grip. Optional scales on the LT & optional handle weight. The LT frame is also smaller than the Axiom Ocularis.
Jesse Jones In the UK? There is a Surrey 45 mins away from me here in British Columbia too :) If its the UK Ill have to pass. I have had bad luck sending stuff overseas.
