I would like away to do a 2d setup like planner 5d and other similar design apps. Once everything is positioned then you can modify based on color and other features.
I tried using this but went back to planner 5d. Might be a good idea to look at planner 5d and other design software options to see some of the features people like. Planner 5d is a good one since it's only 5 bucks a month. I'm not sure how it would be done in blender, but the ability to go back and forth between a 2d and 3d view would be nice, as well as automatically showing you distance between other objects as you move. I was also a little disappointed to see you need to extended library at 100 bucks just to get a kitchen sink. Love blender and the idea behind this, will try again after some additional updates.
Thank you for this amazing add-on. Is there any possibility of exporting the house in fbx or obj format? I tried in the normal way, but it's not including the walls.
I attempted for an entire day to add Home builder to Blender 4. The instructions on the site do NOT match the actual menus. Literally useless. I have to ask if this is an advertisement for paid apps which actually work? So you will willingly pay hundreds of dollars rather than keep going in circles with this app?

Thanks for the Addon, its Awesome, but when i wanna to select all object and move it to another location, it streches and give uncorrect shape, also if i select the room base point it only works for one wall, in that case i can't move it easily!
You can adjust the location of any home builder asset in the right click prompts interface. Selecting the base point allows you to use Blender commands to move the assets. If you want to move multiple assets you would just need to select all of the base points you want to move.

I have watched all of your previous videos numerous times, and was extremely impressed with this last video "Home Builder Geometry Nodes", which you posted well over 7 months ago ! I'm not a programmer by any means, and I know that development does take some time, but I was wondering (a) when you are intending to release what I will assume to be "Home Builder 5.0", and will it include the (1) Pro Cabinet/Pro Kitchen, (2) Door Styles, & (3) Complex Geometry Modules ? (b) What is the time frame schedule for its release (c) Indicative Pricing for the respective Blender Addon Modules, and (d) Will you be able to GCODE output the final designs, directly out of Blender to directly run Nested Based Manufacturing CNC Machinery, complete with possibly Bill of Materials (BOM) and Tool Pathing, and True Nesting ! Instead of generating G-code... We can save that in .dxf right that may good idea because I am a cnc designer and operator some time what happens g-code will not support... If we do that in dxf that can be used for any cad/cad software to properly work in all kind of cnc or laser or printing machines..... But u are doing wonderful job sir... I am learning blender only due to your Home builder.... Thank you
You can set key frames to animate objects. I plan to create a tutorial on this, but if you do some research with how to use Blenders animation system It will help you learn how to make these types of animations.

Is there no method to enable grid snapping while drawing out a line? Makes it easier if you just want to draw something out in 3D space and don't have exact measurements, because I notice things can get slightly distorted if you're just eyeballing placement...
I currently don't have a way to enable grid snapping. The wall system is intended to allow you to enter in exact dimensions for accurate sizing. Grid snapping would be nice to have though. I will look into implementing this.
Yeah you can set key frames on the open door property. If you research Blenders Animation system you can learn how it works. I also plan to create tutorials on this.
Today I'm trying Home Builder 4, when I tried to make inner walls, the pointer didn't change like yours, and my wall kept intersecting to the existing one.

I cannot get this extended library to install in Blender. After going into Preferences and then navigating to the Home Builder 4 addon, there is no asset path field in the addon. Is there a way to get this to work?
Nice! Thank you verry much! Now I am courious if it can be used sverchok to do something like that in Home Builder for structural design and drafting aplication. Even to do a interconectivity Home Builder - Sverchok - BlenderBIM in this way.
Really like it. Very well made and easy to use. But when I change the dimensions of the sink or the cooktop there are holes in the cabinet. Do you know how to fix that? Thanks in advance!
Hi Andrew I am quite new to this Blender and even this "Home Builder" part. It looks amasing and I love this and I entend to learn this as soon as possible. I see that you have a lot of stuff in the library in Home builder and wonder how Can I increase that? I am very poor about the knowledge of this module so please help me when you have some time.
