Harbors Unknown is the story of two dreamers, Kristin and Fabio Potenti, and our French Bulldog Yoda. We sold our home at the beginning of the pandemic (May 27th, 2020) and moved aboard our Seawind 1600 catamaran, SV Wanderlust, in September. We’re documenting boat life as live aboard sailors, sharing our learnings, sailing adventures, travel experiences and delicious meals cooked on board. We're sailing SV Wanderlust to Harbors Unknown, to explore the world’s vast cultures through food, a common thread amongst people everywhere. Connecting with people and places through the local cuisine, and showing how those dishes can be cooked on a boat with limited space and resources. We hope to inspire people and showcase the possibility of living an alternative lifestyle living on a boat that provides freedom and fulfillment. Loved that you said what went wrong but still positive about the boat. I watched a review that had sea wind 1600 at no one and compared it to the no three but the no three boat was 500k and the sea wind was over 2 million. Would have liked to get some idea of costs so I could understand the diff in sails and chains you were talking about.
Thank you for your comment and for watching our video. You are correct, we love our boat and we feel that in the 50 foot range she has a very competitive price point. I am not sure about the other reviews you are referring to. A new SW passage maker is probably 1.4-1.5 M but it easy to get to 2 M when you add carbon mast and rigging, carbon sails, stainless steel chain and another ever ending number of bells and whistles. The carbon mast alone is over 100k option. We don’t have the specific prices of each item. Let us know if we were able to answer your question or if you have some points you would like to talk about. 😊😊
Brilliant cinematography, sound and editing. It was great seeing the Master Chief in action, the goat curry looked delightful and so nourishing. Enjoy!
This is the whitest thing to do in history! lol. Let me force myself into the community where I arrive, then let's go hike places preserved by tribal traditions and show the world where it is. It's relatively agreed white women destroyed two generations now and are now destroying islands by passive infestitation. Before anyone comments, think first. Find where I'm wrong and let me know!
I’m always surprised by Kristin’s drone and compilation. How much the time spent! Fabio cooks and very kind to child support Perfect much ❤❤ Amazing nature is provided on video It’s so thankful 😊 Kristin’s prose always make me realize how wonderful the life is
😊 interesting, we were together with Delos and VeSail for a few episodes and we have now gone our separate ways hoping to reconnect soon. We appreciate your viewership do as long as you watched us! 😊😊
I physically cannot sail any longer, so I watch sailing shows on RU-vid…. Thank you both for providing a sailing channel with high quality videos and verbal content. You’re doing a fantastic job, and please know it is sincerely appreciated.
OMG 😱 WOW, Kristin ‼️ Just a fabulous episode for sure 👍🏻 The underwater extravaganza was breath taking. It was great to see no broken parts. God is good. And, Fabio's cooking is always sincere and with enthusiasm. I've never eaten goat. What was your take??😊 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
Coral looks amazing! Hope it's still there when we make it that way. Was in Puerto Rico this week, and everywhere we snorkeled, coral was 99% dead. :( So depressing.
I love that Fabio stayed with The Nugget while the others dove. Oh, the conversations they must have. Cooking is a form of love. I didn't know that until I cared for my mom as her health failed. Safe travels. ❤
Great diving, fantastic drone shots, awesome flat waters! I've done drift diving before but nothing at that speed. Yoda's a lucky dog! Living the best life! Donate for a Dream
Great diving and snorkelling shots again this week guys!!! It's so great that you can spend such amazing times with friends in such an amazing place!! Thank you Fabio for keeping everyone so well fed. I love your attitude to cooking and life. Fair 💨's and following 🌊's.
Don’t you love being test subjects for engineering solutions at lowest possible price. I went through the same thing on another vessel I took blue water cruising. Excellent presentation and very diplomatic too.
Thank you for watching. Seawind has just refitted our steering system under warranty and is refitting all earlier versions. Thank you for watching and for your comment!! 😊😊
You should get residential solar panels for your boat 400 watts. More robust yes but bus lifers swear by them if you have the room they’re quite large.
Its mind blowing that those bolts snapped . Are they 1\2 or 3\4 dia ? Might have been over tightened with a rattle gun on installation ? Seem to be some really substandard workmanship on those boats as highlighted by Ruby Rose . Good luck going forward .
😂😂😂😂 she did have a few crabs bite her lips but she just shook them off!! Sometime the claw detached and I had to pick it off! She is a tough cookie! 😂😂 I am not sure if she can find truffles, wouldn’t it be nice 😊
great insight. thank you. we're still in the tail end of career phase, however we've narrowed down our choices to either Rapido or Seawind... there are by far more youtubers with seawinds and their experiences with the issues of a new boat which is really helpful, not from a negative side ofthings, but more from seeing how things are resolved. This is important as similar to you we plan to start out closer before making crossings and the eventual plan to circumnavigate in the (early) retirement phase.
Thank you! Which Rapido are you thinking about? The 60? We used to sail a trimaran and loved it! Fantastic observation on how important is to understand that new boats have issues and how having a good brand, like SW behind is essential. Thanks for watching and for your insightful comment. Congratulations on your future plans!!😊😊😀😀
@@HarborsUnknown the 50, as I want something that can fold to get into single slips, and certain river/lock systems in the world. But if those plans or needs change; Seawind has more than 1 model we would consider and the amount of anecdotal and social media sharing with that brand -having seen the issues arise and resolved is certainly helpful.
I've never seen water that smooth and undisturbed. Its also really cool to see other RU-vidrs make a cameo appearance. Kind of like super heroes from one movie franchise showing up in the other's movie.
