When you first got to Half Moon Cay where did you go to ask about the clamshells? Is it the info station? On the carnival site it says go to the watersports rental hut #1. We have tickets but want to make sure we get ours because someone said if you wait too late that you might not get one even if you paid in advance.
@@jasone3785 that has changed and the website is wrong. We have another vlog on half moon cay on the carnival sunshine and the lady is at the entrance yelling clamshell rentals. Don’t be late! Get on that first tender if possible. Also don’t follow the ticket info on where to meet.
Hello, yes we did prepay and always prepay gratuities. I'm a big fan of paying that upfront due to so many people on the ship go without being seen to help make the cruise a great experience. We also try to tip above and beyond as well. You will love the Reflection. Great ship!
Hi! Love the recipe! Just one quick question, is it a water bath to can your awesome sauce and how long for pints? This is so close to the barbecue sauce I'm used to when I travel back home to NC, I would love to be able to have it on hand at home as I'm a big canner for my little family here. Thanks for sharing. When I went this last March, I was on the second tender over, I had a ticket for a clam shell and they were all used already. Pretty sure I saw the people setting them up for everyone accepting cash for them which was a bummer since I already paid. The cost on them is crazy, it stinks! I do like that they will drive you to the clamshells though.
I think they just recently changed to this. This way only one person has to go and open al of them and they are in one area. A lady stated she went in May and it was NOT the way it was in this video. Thank you for watching.
@@angrybeaver6667 there was an area to rent them but they were dragging them all over to set up. I didn’t a specific area for them. It actually made me a tad upset I had this clamshell and someone put a umbrella up right in front of me 😳😂🤣
@@afrikamathis4672 they offer shuttle services there for a fee. We just used our Lyft app and took it to the Celebrity terminal that day. We’ve quit using shuttles with multiple people on a bus. It usually takes too long and someone is usually coughing or hacking. We’d rather pay for a private ride.
@@luvysfatlife you are very welcome. I am going on a cruise on sunshine to Nassau and half moon cay. August 17. I know on half moon cay Carnival cooks for you and you don’t have to pay for it. But what about Nassau. ? Also can you take a soft sided cooler off of the ship to put your drinks in to take to the beach just to keep from buying drinks cause I know your drink package don’t work off the ship.?

I have had Carnival's Banana Cream pie before and found it not good. If you look at it, it is banana gelatin filling with a little cream on top. Not CREAMY at all. This is embarrassing for Carnival.
Just got off the Mardi Gras earlier this Month and the Celebration last May. Its going to be interesting to see the differences between the larger ships and the Sunshine. Thanks for the tour
@@lisaadams1249 I don’t really feel it’s a fair comparison to be honest. Oldest ship to newest ship. The food on newer ships is better, especially the specialty options. I don’t like the newer ship layouts personally. I think they are too crowded. Horizon is our favorite with Celebration/Sunshine a second and third.
@@luvysfatlife honestly, I was underwhelmed with some food and drinks on the newer ships. They had more options, but I wasn't blown away. I'm looking forward to Cruising the Sunshine. I definitely agree with you on the crowds, thanks
