We have only sailed one Celebrity Cruise, the Ascent and we LOVED it. Now, the Reflection is a bot older, so I am eager to hear your take, but we really enjoyed the cruise. We are not fancy dressers, and we didn't have any issues with that. On Ascent, the entertainment was VERY good. And the bartender show at the Martini bar was always fun. (Remember Tom Cruise in Cocktail?) Go in with an open mind and have FUN!
Our first cruise on Celebrity was the Ascent❤️❤️. We had just turned Platinum on Carnival right after we sailed a b2b in February. Jumping ship from Carnival to Celebrity from now on🥰❤️❤️❤️
Looking forward to all the answers to your concerns. I pretty much pushed Carnival to the side to cruise more on Royal. We have cruised NCL, PRINCESS, CARNIVAL AND ROYAL.Willing to try Celebrity.
The celebrity ship we were on had a shower door not a curtain. The casino didn't have arms on the chairs. I did not win anything in the casino☹. We thought the shows were good on ship we were on. Have fun!!
Don't worry about fluffy friendly, me and hubby never had an issue on the Solstice. You can ask for chairs in any restaurant that does not have arms. We loved the Passport and Sunset Bar for hanging out. Our least favorite place on board was the Martini Bar. Don't have an opinion on the casino. Never been on one on ANY cruise ship.
My wife and I used to like Celebrity. When they started changing their target market and their ships we stopped cruising on them. Food on both cruise lines were good. The pizza on Celebrity Cruise Line wasn't good. Hope they improved it. It's an older crowd than what you will find on Carnival. The casino is pretty good. Celebrity used to have in the back of the theater a couch without arm rests. Celebrity has different music venues. Am a fan of Country Music myself. Don't know about slot machines. Table games are about the same. Usually a minimum bet is $5. Some might have a higher minimum $10. Don't know how you will like the ship. Don't know about bars since I'm not a big drinker. Don't plan on going on Celebrity since I have heard they charge a large single supplement.
No shorts at dinner, and probably no hats, but otherwise l dont think there is much to worry about. Simple slacks and shirt will suffice. Anywhere else t shirts and shorts are fine. And not a dead ship at all. Lots going on...deal or no deal is fun! Casino is fun. Martini and sunset bars are fun. Im fluffy and l have no concern at all.
I have only been on carnival Cruise lines as well my first carnival trip was actually on the carnival freedom a couple a few few years ago with my grandparents going on to a church trip and then and then last year in 2023 during the end of June last July early July I went with my husband for our 10-year anniversary that was his first cruise ever and that was on the carnival Sunshine leaving out of Charleston South Carolina so we so we actually saw the whole entire ship within the first hour and a half of being on board and whenever we were sailing to Nassau we actually saw a MSC Cruise line and it was absolutely beautiful the sending it out. Workmanship was absolutely amazing.
