But am I right that he never cant or did play the HiHat permanently like every modern drummer today?! I saw this in many Stones Video that he alway stop the Hihat playing if Snare or Basedrum are kick?
It’s about time this video is focused on Keith. I love him and Monkey Man is one of my favorite songs from the Stones. I’ll be there in Philly on June 11th to see them again. I hope they do this song.
Charlie Watts, a sweet soul and a very humble man,who is the backbone and the anchor of the stones 🎉🎉. He's the most phenomenal drummer ♥️ in the world.RIP,Charlie Watts we will miss you 🎉🎉
I miss Micks high pitched monkey yelps at the end of the song. Everytime I listen to the studio version I crack up laughing when he does that. But I guess he can't reach that high register anymore.
I saw an interview with Mic and Kieth and the interviewer asked " what will you do when your done playing music?" They both sat there thinking. Keith looked dumbfounded. Mic smiled and said, " what else is there?".
O swing de bateria mais gostoso do mundo, parece que o som dos Stones foi embora junto com ele, meu Deus! O Charlie ao vivo era perfeito, firme e preciso, dava vontade de dançar, nunca superei.
What a masterpiece !!!…, just showing the most exquisite transition from rhythm and blues to heavy rock, the trademark of The Rolling Stones.. like having a musical orgasm !
never felt they did this song justice live -- one time there was a camera attached to Ronnie's guitar, who you could see up close -- totally. unnecessary. But they redeemed themselves with his clip -- they must have been rehearing Monkey Man. It's a very difficult song to play good -- and only Keith can do it....haha.
Aww Charlie mad awesome on your 🥁 One of the best you make it look mad easy... I bet he could play blinded He's just watching Mick doing his moves all over the stage .. We miss you Charlie 🙏🏻 Keep rocking!! ✌🏼
I think a lot of drummers would have just drummed right through that feint at 2:31, trying to keep the beat with it but he just kind of took it inside himself and let it out at certain points to achieve timing. I don't know the drummer lingo for that but I know when I see something real remarkable like that in the world of drumming.
