Awesome how-to vid, made by someone who knows what he's talking about.. I've got new sets of break pads for the M50 calipers of my ST 765 RS and your video has got that kind of details I was looking for. Thank you so much.
My lower cable had snapped. Used a common bicycle cable to replace it. Had to slightly file down the grommet which took minutes. Cut cable to length then clamped the loose end underneath the nut that holds everything in place. Reset engine light with £15 code reader from Amazon. So far, so good👌
How can you mention torque settings without even mentioning what bike it is? Maybe I'm wrong and you did mention it. And you didn't show the drag after you installed the floating buttons.
This video is precisely the one I hav e been Looking for my Harley xg 750 street. They are identical I design

Triumph manual says put copper grease only on the first 4 threads of the caliper bolt. I guess that is enough grease to work its way up to where needed.
I see that I can buy these buttons online, but how will I know if they fit? My Brembo discs are 4.5 mm. But there are no difference in the diameter of the buttons?
What do I need to make my 2022 ktm 250 sx "2 stroke" into street legal? I know I need turn signals, head light etc.But I'm looking to have a battery & a charging system!
Hi, you said these buttons are for ducatis however which ducatis. Need to know the specs so answer will help. My daytona 675 need new buttons since it has a lot of play in front to back motion. Or in general you said thickness of button shall be 4mm for daytona 675 rotors what about diameter of bobbins?
Great video. Tip I learned is to keep old brake pads in and apply brake pressure to clean the pistons. Then you can compress pistons (after cleaner) with old pads and then remove them. Insert new pads and you’re all set.
I couldn’t get the bushing out of my old levers even after beating them up using wd-40 etc to try wiggle them out so does anyone happen to know the bushing size?
After changing my brake pads i hear a clicking noise when braking when i go backwards. The brakepads are moving a little bit when changing direction. How can i fix this?
There is a reason that main dealers don't sell buttons .And there is a reason that no Haynes manual ever recommends spinning the buttons to cure brake problems. And if you have EBC X series fully floating rotors the buttons have flat sides and can't be turned. And those fully floating rotors have zero play in any direction. In fact EBC explains that the buttons only job is to allow radial expansion of the disc.Nothing to do with alignment.
Put my new levers on today and broke the damn clutch perch switch sensor 😭 its a small plastic peg that hits the back of the lever. Ordered a new one but it's gonna be days before I ride again smh. Definitely watch out for when installing.
I am confused. Do you have only 1 caliper? You cleaned a caliper then squeezed the brake lever to expand the pistons on the caliper you were working on. What about the piston on the other side? Did they not expand too??
Great video. Bow often do you suggest to rwmove claipers and clean then out? Once a year? Every so many miles?? And why not use brake cleaner from the beginning to clean the caliper verse soapy water?
