man I just read the letterboxd reviews for the movie and got real down about people shitting on my favorite musical (altho to be fair the movies kinda meh) but this comment section has made me feel sane again :D
the staging is just so amazing, i don't know how to explain it but it is phenomenal!! i looked up the wiki for the play and alex timbers directed it, which explains it 😃 (he directed moulin rouge, beetlejuice and tons of other great shows!!) 23:37 stache 50:22 boxing match 51:50 he became the line itself 😭😭 1:01:20 close enough, welcome back heathers 1:40:50 the silly sound when the pineapple gets sliced in half always gets me 1:43:37 omigod you guys 1:49:37 in the script, in thw direction's, it says " _STACHE_ exits. (Applause. no doubt.)" 😭😭 2:00:55 finish and bows everyones so good.. it should've won the tony for best play
I just realized this. Both Gaten Matarazzo (who is playing Jack here) and Daniel Huttlestone have one thing in common. They both started in playing Gavroche in Les Misérables, Gaten in Broadway and Daniel in West End (eventually also playing the role in the movie), then both eventually plays Jack in Into the Woods. Gaten here in the Hollywood Bowl and Daniel in the movie that came out last 2014

Go is so, so good for no reason. It could have been done without a kid performing a musical number on a hoverboard, but its too good for that. Its kinda a masterpiece.
