Sewing tutorials, pattern reviews, fabric shopping, and DIY Inspiration
Hi, I’m Byrd, your curvy sewist. Colorful eclectic clothing is my jam and I am unapologetically comfortable in my skin. Style should not be defined by age, size, or gender! I started my sewing journey a few years ago and my goal is to show people it’s never too late to pick up a new skill or passion.
If you are a beginner, I provide step-by-step, sewing tutorials with a twist. I share tips and tricks for garments that fit well and feel good on you.
I invite you to subscribe to my channel and turn on notifications so that you don’t miss new videos and live sew alongs. Feel free to comment and share videos with your friends.
When I am not sewing, I teach fitness and yoga classes, travel, and foster rescue puppies. When traveling, my favorite souvenir is a special piece of fabric from the place I’ve visited.
Wow, simply stunning! I really like the gold material. By the way I received a notification from you regarding sewing pockets; however, when I opened the email the notification said private video. Was that from you, if so, can you resend it. Thanks for keeping us informed & traveling with you. 😊
Hi! I love seeing that people, in this country, still sew!I like to sew but i'm not very good at it. A few years ago our Yardage Town Store was going out of business. They always carried a beautiful selection of genuine silk shantung in the most amazing colors. So before they closed for good a went a bought some in a couple of colors that I liked. I have an old linen pant suit that I wore to death. It is black and even though I always had it dry cleaned it faded and got rusty. I am going to attempt to make my own pattern using the old linen pant suit to use for my silk shantung. Wish me luck!!!
It’s awesome Michael Levine is one of my favorite stores . They have one store for clothing and across the street in the home fabric shop you can find fabric by the pound.
I've been wanting to visit LA Finch Fabrics in Long Beach and M&L fabrics in Anaheim as well. If you're still in the area maybe you can arrange to go. I live in San Diego County.
If the 2 in our nearby towns close we have nothing left but a tiny selection of cheap notions and thread in the discount and grocery stores. And one small quilt store.

Hi. I wish I didn't watch your video (LOL). I cannot buy anything sewing related until I sit my tushy down and sew for 3 months in a row. I had to set that limit and I am being nice to myself (LOL). Have a nice day.
We JoAnn's customers would really be in a pickle without a place like JoAnn's. While I don't go in there often, it's good to know it's there when I need sewing items, fabric, notions, ribbon, you name it. Extremely useful store!
Byrd, I just visited the Joann’s off Perring Parkway. They have quite a selection in the last chance section! Check it out if you can. Thanks for the heads up on the sale of Vogue patterns!🌹
I could stay in this store for hours! Hope that you get some nice finds in the clearance section! That orange and white stretchy floral knit is gorgeous!!❣️
