actually this is my favorite guitar all together very first telecaster I owned was a Fender 50s reissue unfortunately I had to sell it my next was the Squire exactly like this one . being married with kids and grandchildren and even great grandchildren things didn't work and i had to sell my equipment again but I'm looking to buy another classic vibes 50s telecaster!!
Actually someone could find this guitar to be super mega great. Might open a new world of discovery and motivation. It might be the key to the future. Another person might find this guitar to be totally useless. Might give it away to someone else, the same day. Have no use for it. Have no use for any guitar..... This would have been more than a great guitar for me. Someone else might have scoffed at it. It is a matter of perspective. The guitar in your presentation looks and sounds great. It would have been nice to see you focus on the pickups for a minute. P90 pickups are known to be noisy, especially when not noise cancelling in the middle switch position, as you know. Furthermore placing overdrive on top of p90 pickups can become very very noisy very quickly. Raining on party. It would have been good to check out those aspects and expose any weaknesses. But I guess the main idea here is to sell guitars. This is indeed a very groovy guitar. Small. Light. Sporty. Of great quality construction by a great iconic guitar company. Fender mustangs are iconic. This is a beautiful example and your playing skills revealed something of the charm of p90s.
I saw Van Halen in the early 80's. He was amazing to watch playing the guitar. I saw him with Sammy Haggar. The band at it's best! Roth was a showman and not a singer.
Much love and respect to EVH, a true Savant. BUT, John Entwistle was doing all of this, and more, on the bass, 10 years ahead of Eddie. Just sayin . . .
Van Roth could've worked out and maybe put those Vanhalen Bros in their place , obviously Eddie and Alex controlled that band and their last name played a key role in it.
Actually they were "Mammoth" before Dave. Then because VH with Dave. That's why Wolfie named his band "Mammoth VH." In honor of Ed and Alex . True story !!!!
Always felt like the stock single coils on the original Mustangs were way too thin and that humbuckers were often overkill for them. P90s are the perfect pickup for the Mustang!
Intelligent and, very self preserving. Vocals at the top of his VH career were decent, but in his solo career his vocals were quite a bit better, more range and, more creativity.
